I have some pictures of Shortround taken in the hotel bar in Panama back in the 80's..... He wasn't wearing that vest then

Hides the blackmail possible photos from even myself for fear they may accidentally surface one day

The two "clowns" in the background, that I think you are refering to, is a newsperson and the Colonel. I felt it would be better for him to talk to the media after my comments on the "goat orgy" pic that followed.
With the 1000 or so pieces of equipment that rolled into the yard over those couple of days, I'm surprised that there wasn't massive piles of scrap metal in that intersection. The three soldiers that were supposed to be there directing traffic decided they were hungry and went to MickyD's, without telling anyone. What was said to them later was not politically correct nor in consideration of others. Felt kinda good, hadn't got to scream and yell like that in a long time. ;D

By the way Lary,
I seem to remember this young and not so bright Green Beanie Sgt that was protected by a bunch of Brown Water squids cause the MP's were after his sorry behind. The fact that the only thing he was wearing was his Green Beanie will not be made public.

Ed - you need some of this cold weather. 27 this morning ...not good for the garden!

I hope it does not rain on us Thursday. Would be a little difficult to fry a turkey with it raining

Have a great day.

A nice pic of me in my "Tactical Vehicle Movement Controller" job. Must have done good tho, no wrecks or "dear" strikes.

SR,

Tell me again, why were all these guys picking up trash by the railroad tracks? Did they all get sentenced to community service?

The oxymoron thing of wearing an orange vest with camo BDU's just strikes me as funny. Hope them boys that went to McD's are smart enough not to wear those while they're hunting Iwaqi's.....I have my doubts after hearing some of your stories.

At least you are out there to bring order to chaos, despite the best efforts of you command staff.

Morning Folks,
It's "Friday" for some folks.
I'm working on Friday 'cuz the Govt is "Open". :

Chilly temps, frost on the windshield, many accidents on the roads this morning, people not paying attention to the road.

Let's be careful out there.

Re:Water cooler time, 23 - 30 Nov 03

It's nothing like having to deal with a "comic" this early in the morning.
Actually, I was in the process of getting prepared to do the "drop kick me through the goal post" version of the dance. Went back through the pic file and this was when the troopies returned from MickeyD's. There were no pics taken during that time frame since what was about to happen was NCO business and I "suggested" to the light colonel that was taking the pics that it would be more productive if he went on to the railhead and got some shots.
Placement of the left and right feet during the "dance" routine did accomplish two things. One is I got their attention, and two is I got a lot of dust off the boots and shined them somewhat.
As to bringing order to chaos, fat chance there.
I would like to think that I helped to creat some orderly chaos in that gaggle.
The staff pukes actually seen to be listening to and acting on the advice of those that have had the privilege of "being there and doing that". A good example was on some rail mounts for the weapons. The ones called for required that a set be utilized for each piece to be mounted. A company specializing in that type stuff had one that would interchange without affecting the zero of that device. They got smart. Instead of ordering 3800 odd mounts, they listened to the old hands and only had to order 1200 odd mounts.
Their heads are slowly coming out of their **** orifice.
