Hey, I don't need to come here and be called a turkey.

Oh, sorry, you said I was full of turkey. .
There are a bunch of sleepy heads. Gee, if I had come to the computer when I got up I could have started the thread this week. Bummer. Been up since 5:30.

OK, putting on coffee (since a certain OTHER person did not) including a great Columbian blend, mocha almond ph00, hot water, put some orange juice out with home baked zuccini (wow, how do you spell that one) bread. Come and get it - - - then go get purdy and go to church.

Have a great day,

Bob

I'm here, I was lost in the fog and could not find the door to the breakroom.
Thick fog here this a.m.
Snow later.

EPA is researching how to tax the gas from post turkey celebrations now.

Phoo00 is altered to a subtle blue tinge with a hint of washer fluid flavor.

Enjoy.

Me worky no turkey

Good Morning Yall

Kinda chilly down here, in the high 20's.

Still busier than Scotts hairstylist at an all day perm-a-thon

Hopefully it will settle down soon and I can get back to annoying yall.

Morning all.

Gotta make it quick, lots to do today.

Today is Sunday, November 28th. 26 days and 15 hours 'til Christmas.

On this day in 1520 - Portuguese navigator Ferdinand Magellan reached the Pacific Ocean after passing through the South American strait. The strait was named after him. He was the first European to sail the Pacific from the east.

1582 - William Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway were married.

1922 - Capt. Cyril Turner of the Royal Air Force gave the first public exhibition of skywriting. He spelled out, "Hello USA. Call Vanderbilt 7200" over New York's Times Square.

1925 - The Grand Ole Opry made its radio debut on station WSM.

1934 - The U.S. bank robber George "Baby Face" Nelson was killed by FBI agents near Barrington, IL.

1942 - 491 people died in a fire that destroyed the Coconut Grove in Boston.

1943 - U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Soviet Leader Joseph Stalin met in Tehran to map out strategy concerning World War II.

1963 - U.S. President Johnson announced that Cape Canaveral would be renamed Cape Kennedy in honor of his assassinated predecessor. The name was changed back to Cape Canaveral in 1973 by a vote of residents.

1994 - Jeffrey Dahmer, a convicted serial killer, was clubbed to death in a Wisconsin prison by a fellow inmate.

1995 - U.S. President Clinton signed a $6 billion road bill that ended the federal 55 mph speed limit.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Why do they call the clock where you punch your time card a "time" clock? Aren't all clocks "time" clocks?

Back at the Home-20 this morning.
Hated to leave Casa Del Shovelhead (Mostly hated to leave Wifey) and come back to the land of the 40+ hour work week.

Leaves gotta be dealt with today (I have zero trees in MY yard ) but I always end up with a pile of leaves at least 3 feet deep and 15 feet across.......

Temps all the way up to 32* after starting in the low 20s.

Is it Spring yet?

Good morning every from way down south. Another *****day in Paradise. See, I refrained from mentioning our lovely weather.
I brought an orange colored filter and managed to attach it the coffee pot. The brand name is a bit scratched, but it looks like it may start with an F. The coffee tastes much better now, but seems to now have a bit of fiber in it. Must be healthier.
Heading out for our usual Sunday brunch later with a retired US couple who have lived in Mexico for about 20 years and still love it. He is a confirmed Yankee hillbilly with two doctorates and used to work at Livermore. Interesting guy but with some strange ideas.
Why does the this room smell like stale turkey?

Mad, nice lights. Let us know the difference in your electricity bill for November compared to December.

Question for you 'Merkuns; Why did it cost 6 billion dollars just to remove speed limits? Where did that money go to?

There are alot of 55 mph signs that had to be replaced.
There was probably a couple days training on proper sign replacement
Then Every traffic officer in America had to be properly retrained on the update.
Then there was the PSA announcements regarding the change so everyone knew about the change.

Then there were the hundreds of court cases due to folks trying to get their earlier tickets tossed, and the new ones written by LEOs that didn't read the memo........

It would not be proportional... I think I'm gonna put USA on the right side of the house in red, white and blue.

Ive been too many places to have patriotic spirit.
Yea, the US has a lot going for it, but unfortunately, there are too many people with too much power changing that.

Afternoon peoples, gonna finish winterizing the 5ver then cover it up for its winter hibernation. Then clean the garage out so I can finally park the truck in it. Amazing how much stuff my wife can fit into a 40'x40' garage. Had to lay the hammer down and let her know that it is not a storage unit, tell the kids to come and get their stuff or its all going to the dump. I've done had it with moving their crap around in my garage . It will be nice to have my shop back.

Have a good day everyone.
