The sun is out, the sun is out
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Been dealing with the funerals of the five KIA from here. The mood is rather somber, to say the least.
However on a bright note. I saw a ricer absolutely nuke itself this weekend. I was headed in to work and just before pulling onto the freeway, this riced out ponyach goes hauling by with a couple of the local finest in hot pursuit. The clown must have been doing a hundred. Anyway, as he is hooking up the on ramp he hits a wet spot and loses it. Lost it just enough to center the three to four foot wide concrete median that rises about one foot above the pavement. The car starts to lose parts. Suspension, oil, water, tires and wheels, fuel tank, lits of plastic and metal. By the time it stops, there is nothing left but the body and about half an engine. As I passed by, the cops had done a good slam dunk and had him cuffed on on the ground.
I didn't think there was that many parts under a car. Kinda made my day.

Good morning all. Just vegging out this a.m. Took two days off. First days off in about 2 weeks. Had to stop or logbook would never catch up . Drove about 12,000 miles in the last 2 weeks. The good part is at least it was appreciated. Have a great week every one. I'm sure gonna. Rick

Good morning troops.
Issac (no middle name chosen yet) Anderson-Molinares arrived yesterday at 1359 hrs.
No pics of the crumb-snatcher yet.
Mother is fine, baby is in NICU for a few days due to fluid in his lungs. Docs indicate he's OK just want to keep an eye on him for a couple of days.

Have a great day.

Ed

Congrats to you and the family Ed! a new start on life. Kids are a wonderful thing!

Oh yeah, good morning. I hope everyone has a great day. This land search is getting tiresome. we are too picky I guess. Looked at 2 places up 11 yesterday. One is real nice with a stream and a good spring. Problem is, it is only 3.11 acres and an unimporved dirt road to get to it (read long)...lots of $$$ just to get it prepped... ...the search is still on......

Congrats on the youngster Shovelhead! I'm shure that all DTRonians will help with education. Lots of useful hints on it here.
First of all- If mothers say that the baby is still too young to fully appreciate diesel, it should not be in the shop with you, and that Harley Davidson is not the maker of prams of their choice heed their words until the youngone is able to crawl to the garage on his own. This is nature's sign that the education in the shop is to begin right now. Be careful with small parts like valves etc until the age of 3- sometimes they like to try to decarbon parts through the digestive tract instead of on the workbench - (Lazy little buggers)
On the other hand they are great for cleaning all the virtually unaccessible places beneath the dash. They seem to love to play with all those colourful gizmos there, and try completely new variations of plugging stuff together. The effects seem to be the main cause of gray hair of grandpas though.

Happy Wednesday!

Went to see the Daughter & Grandson last evening.
Both are doing fine, Issac Anthony should be coming out of the NICU sometime today.
I got to see & hold him yesterday.
9lbs-13oz, 20" long.
Cute kid. (I'm not biased though)
10 fingers, 10 toes, 2 ears........he's all there.

Time for coffee,............

Morning folks....

Only about 9 more hours of DWI then I get to do the vacation thing for a couple of weeks .

Got to rebuild a couple of machines, patch in a phone and network drop and take care of a few other things before I leave. Hopefully it will make the day go by quick.

Time for some coffee......

(stumbles off bouncing off a wall or two.... )

Congrats on the grandchild Ed. Make sure you spoil the youngster really good!!
