Mornin folks, foggy here in the Northeast.
Lots of wrenching to do today on trucks, minor stuff on 2 of them.
But the one that i'm dreading is the one that came in on the hook during the snowstorm.
Throw out bearing exploded. So i'm gonna put in a clutch, press plate and throw out bearing in that.
Coffee is on.
Later
Rich

Hey, heat wave in the North East - - wow. You guys are gonna luv it - - enjoy, just don't look behind you.

Sunny for some of today and high of 81 - - then the rains finally roll in. Looks like some nasty lightning and the works. Hope it doesn't go below 70.

Sending the nastiness your way, SH. The wind is blowing so hard it goes right up the overall legs Some bad storms last night but just rain and wind, no damage here.
Eye doing good, if you don't mind looking at a bright blue center in a mass of bright red surounded by black and blue
Ground up some corn meal last night. Kinda slow right now but will get better when the mill gets moved into the old house place where I've got plenty of room. Besides, with the mill in the wash room, the whole house reverberates with a sound like a gear box running without oil and a few gear teeth.
Still trying to find a CLOSE source of hard red and white wheat. Don't want to have to drive to the other end of Texas or Oklahoma to get it. Freight costs are outrageous unless I get it by the trailer truck load. Maybe Haulin or some of the others would be interested in a small haul if they are deadheading back home.

Well, I was feeling sorry for myself this am until I saw Scotty's post. Now it seems tropical here at -26 with -41 windchill (-10F and -42F). Think I'll go shovel the lawn and mow it . Blizzard forecast for last night didn't show up. Temp dropped and wind came up, bit no snow. It's a dry cold.

Wow, pool is almost overflowing. Really rained last night. We needed it, but now the grass and plants will all grow faster requiring more of my attention. Bummer. Can't win either way - - hmmm, grass carpet and gravel - - artificial plants - - hmmm.

Stay dry and warm. You too, Scotty.

Morning folks,

70F this morning on the way in. As Ed started, that will change once the front goes through. Heavy rain and a tornado watch in effect til 1100. Supposed to drop down into the 30's tonight and not get much over 40F tomorrow.

Need to go looking for a new bedroom suite tomorrow. Think I found what she and I like....to the tune of about $4800.00 . At least it is solid oak and should last through the kids lifetime. Now to find the softside waterbed mattress to put on it.

Everyone have a good one. I'm outta here for the day, I have to work Monday.

Howdy all,
Wow, sounds like you guys on the east coast better keep your heads down. That is wild weather for this time of year. Glad the twisters missed everyone on here so far.
Went back to the doc for a one month checkup for my high blood pressure. Medicine he prescribed last month didn't work, so he upped the dosage and included a diuretic. Gonna' have to move my cube into the bathroom now. I'll give the new meds a shot, as long as they don't make me
Looks like I have something to do this weekend, UPS says they are delivering my Painless wiring block today My Lightforce lights will be in next week, I should be good to go when they get here. Trying to find a decent rocker switch for them has turned into more of a chore than it should, oh well (open for ideas on the rocker switch).

Take care and have a good weekend y'all.

Mornin Folks,
The down-pour started about 1 minute before I walked out the door to get in the truck and come to work. After getting to work and getting settled in for a nice easy day of watching the machines run and surfing the web,,,,,,,,,,, Then the painter showed up,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,, with industrial strength enamel paint to paint a 4'x4' square on the floor. Our Control Room has a raised floor due to all the computer stations and it's raised about four inches higher than the rest of the floor. One of our E&I guys apparently hadn't noticed all the "Step Up" signs and yellow and black reflective safety tape on the floor in the last few months of going in and out and tripped. Hence the painter. Not sure why our Safety Dept. found it necessary to do this today instead of Sunday or Monday when there would be nobody in here,,,, SOooo,,,,,,,,, tHe foomzzz R knot that bahd and I'mm feeeelin zaffer buy the minuet.

J'all had a goof one,

Hey there, hi there, ho there......

No grounds in the coffee this morning, JKE must not have made this pot. Had to sacrifice a day off yesterday for a mandatory meeting..... you know, "We're gonna make life easier, but in the mean time, change this that and the other. Start doing this too. Don't do that anymore... and try to come to work happy.

Rob, I was off, but on the road driving that foggy day. The crash wasn't far from my mother's, luckily I was heading down there from the cabin. If I was heading to her place from work, I might have gotten tangled up in it. You know, if you can't see anything in front of you, must not be anything there.... so go fast. Cars from 2 of our posts and the sheriff had the bulk of it with help from about 3-4 other agency's. Sounds like it came to be around 200 cars, 2-k, 3 criticle and about 40 injured. I had to come through the area on the side roads later, and it was almost a grid-lock. Sounds like my post handled a 20-car, and down by Kalamazoo, they had about a 50-car. Last time I heard of anything like this, was a few years back on I-75, up towards grayling. Sunny Friday afternoon, everybody heading north to go skiing, etc. A freak snow squall caused a white-out. Ended up taking out around 130 cars, with a couple fatals. People were calling 911 screaming about how the cars just keep crashing. Ok, now that I bored you guys... get back to work!
