Good morning folks.
Clousy weather here.
Temps in the upper 30s, cloudy, with a good chance of rain.
I sure am glad I decided to install the new pump yesterday.

Now,...I need to go fix the dryer I was heading out to fix on Wed when the adventure in VP44 Land started.

Other than that......it's kick back and rest up for Tuesday time.

Y'all B safe,

Mornin' All,
Bunch of lazy heads around my house this morning - - guess the weekend was just too much for them. 8:45 and still ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz

I know - - you don't want to hear this, but the patio is all opened up, breakfast setup out there with the pool fountain running, birds singing, sun up and flowers blooming. Tough, man, tough. If these critters around here don't get up, I will go eat by myself - - mercy.

Have a great day and a great new year - - it's going to be a good one.

Bob

ps: I hear there was major activity in the skies over a place called Regina someplace up there in the frozen north. Seems a bunch of Speedo wrapped spheres were launched, circled in the sky, then came down and plastered several sites around Regina. Seems they were locked into some kind of tracking signal. From the amount of thrust involved, it would appear they were intended for a much longer trip than they took, hence the circling around the skies before returning and striking their targets. Wonder what that could be all about - - interesting. Maybe Scotty would give us more details on the incident.

Only birds left up here are the buzzards!

Breakfast is done, one last lazy day before we wonder how it's all over already!

Weather report by Shovel covers me too, @ 37* and overcast here.

Brrrrrrrr .... jjjussttt a tad bit chchchchchillly out ttthhhere.

Just got back to the house after a trip to this little shack ... http://www.preussen.de/en/today/burg_hohenzollern.html

Not a bad looking place ... a little small for my taste and the view could be better .
The place was covered in clouds today and you couldn't see it untill you drove up on it. Probably a hundred fireplaces in the darned thing, and would you believe not one was burning ? I would've froze my tail off if I didn't have so much barley and hops based antifreeze in me at the time.

PROST !!! (cheers),

Yeah ... nothing worse than being the King and after a few hard hours at the local beer tent, accidently walking into the wrong castle

Keeping up with the Joneses must've been a real chore back in the day.

Warm enough for shorts here. Busted up another couple cords of pecan.
Hiney is dragging after eating smoked venison, sweet potatos, black eyed peas, turnip greens, corn bread , and blueberry wine.

Mmmmmm .... mouth is watering after hearing about SR eating smoked venison, sweet potatos, black eyed peas, turnip greens, corn bread , and blueberry wine.
All I could scrounge up this morning was a PB&J on Potato Bread (my landlord's bakery is right next door).

Well, since the car is kaput and my loaner car is back with the rightful owner, I'm back to using public transportation . I have to make the first train at 0437 to make it to work on time.
It ain't all bad, you'd be surprised at how many nice looking European ladies are riding the train that early

Monday came on Tuesday again this week.
Temps in the low 40s, clousy but no precip.
My heating bill is welcoming this warm stretch of weather.
Last gas bill, $290, and that's with a programmable thermostat.

Lots to do, but I'm going to try to eeeeeeease into the work mode.

The Beast back in the lot.
Heading out at lunch for the local Hubcap Heaven to replace a front wheel skin that I munched on a curb.
It's starting out to be an interesting year.

New Year, oatmeal for breakfast (I GOTTA loose about 15 "Christmas" pounds)
Trying to have a new outlook.
We'll see how long that lasts.

Y'all B safe

GOOD MORNING DTR!!!!

First shift of the New Year... cant tell a difference....

is ready, doughnuts are almost gone..trying to gain back some weight I lost over the holidays...
not much goin on ...still unseasonably warm, gonna be near 60 again today...

Got my two yr old filly out yesterday and got a saddle on her for the first time.. she took it real well. Stood up in teh stirrup a few times and sat down on her for just a second. Figured that was a good place to quit for the day. Her knees arent developed enough to bear a rider just yet, so it will be a few more months before I get to take that first ride, but the way things are going, it should be nice and boring when i do...

Got an email from PW, he's gonna be home towards teh end of Feb..... may have to try and get some folks to gether for dinner or something and buy the Chief a beer... if he'll drink this American stuff after getting all that good German brew........

That's the other thing I remember about Europe, not all the nice looking ladies are ladies (if ya' know what I mean) . This is especially true in Naples.

Ahhhhh, Rob ... I can pick these "It's" out in a crowd pretty easy ... it's the ones in Thailand and Singapore that you need to get a second, third and maybe a fourth opinion on. And even then, you need to hope your buddy is gonna give you a solid assessment and not play a joke on ya !!!
I've hooked a buddy up a time or two with that one ... made for some lively conversation headed back to the ship .

Chris, I could handle some American bottled "water" .... there just isn't any comparison .

Have a good un,
