Mornin.
Pourin the coffee down, it's not helping. Didn't even do anything to have this big head...
Gonna go help someone with their yard, then try to chill the rest of the day.
Maybe play with the trucks

'sup yall. I slept in until 10am. The kitchen, living room and back deck look like we had a big house party. It was only DH an I.
I smoked up some baby back ribs. Came out awesome. I used recipe from here for only the ingredients for the rub: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/texas-pork-ribs/ I was doing one rack of pork baby back ribs (3.5lbs) so adjusted the portions accordingly.
3-1/2 pounds pork babyback ribs
3/4 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon teaspoons ground black pepper
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/4 cup onion powder
These proportions made a lot of mix. I only used about half since I didn't pack it on but gave everything a even single coat. I let the rub sit about an hour while I got the pit fired up. The flavor was great on these things. I did use mesquite so it complimented with a nice sweet smoke. I've got a couple pork lions in the fridge that need to get cooked. I'm going to use the rest of the rub on them. If you're looking for a rub recipe give this one a try.

The side bets had me gone before 25, then 30...then they stopped betting.

I'm going to the circus today for my birthday.

Miracle of miracles, I didn't think people actually lived that long!
First time in 2 days I've been able to get on this site. Maybe I should take that as a hint.
Just finished doing brakes and ALL components on the 10 ton trailer I bought out here. Took the first 2 tires off and found someone had dragged them a considerable distance, making flat spots down to the canvas. Yes, they were bias plied tires. Replaced 4 of them with radials; 8.75 X 16.5, $187 each. Replaced all the bushings and hardware for the S-cams and replaced the shoes and all their hardware too. Nothing came apart easily and going back together wasn't exactly a picnic either. Got it re-assembled and 3 of the 4 brakes wouldn't completely release.
Got them somewhat freed up, but I still can't tell why they're hanging up. Going to try some return springs on the slack adjusters Tuesday. I know it ain't 'right', but I want the brakes adjusted up where they belong and I NEED them to release. The DOT is doing their annual enforcement blitz on the days we're scheduled to travel back to Michigan with this trailer. Figures, that's my typical luck.

Work was easy...just some trapeze and juggling. Last time I went to the circus it was about an hour long. This time it was three hours! Sitting under the Big Top was nice out of the rain but its quite cool up here with heavy rain today. 40F. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.
