At least you can eat the small mouth. My young gelding tried to eat ME last night. Horse bites sure bring out the sympathy from the wifey, but not sure if they are worth it.

Nope, out of season. He was a good one though. I hope you inflicted some respect on that horse. Karen's appalousa caught me in the snoot with his muzzle once, being a dink and swinging his head around. I hauled back and hit like the guy in blazing saddles. He hasn't come that close in a long time now. Don't worry, I can't hit as hard as I use to, but you can't let them mess around, a move like that will kill you.

Redleg these darn ole steelies are having a hard time getting kicked off this year about like last. I hope to get started up in lake Huron in about 10 days.

Yup, they don't seem to be hammering the browns yet this year either. I guess guys trolling between the piers have been getting some, so there may be hope yet. The few I saw going up the Rockford dam looked to be dark, holdovers.

Mornin' All,

Fun night around here last night - - 70 mph winds, lightning, pool overflowing - - nasty night. But, we needed the rain - - gotta keep them flowers blooming and me sneezin'. Hope you hung in down there, Spots. Can't complain after the fantastic winter and spring we have had.

Thanks for all the help on the wood cutting. Had Smurff, his brother, my son and a couple of neighbors running six Stihl's of various sizes. Sure did make a nice sound with them all cranked up at once. Managed to cut around 10 cords. Beer and saw gas consumption was almost equal. Looks like an easy 125-150 cords from the fence rows. Maybe that much more from the tops after Gary gets the saw logs out.
Now I get to eat a bunch of leftover smoked pork loin, turnip greens, and homemade pies for lunch and supper, ALL WEEK.
The directions were easy, just wonder why noone else showed? After all, I gave y'all at least a 12 hour notice.

I saw that on the weather channel FloatingBobbingBob...I was hoping that one of the spheres would hold you down when those winds came up.

mornin' men. 0500 here. gonna be a long week.

shortround - thanks for the info on the squash. gotta get the hot peppers in the ground. Roma tomatos are in. Bell peppers are in too. slowly but surely. had a lettuce sprout salad this weekend...really good. turnip greens aren't ready yet. got around 60 feet of radishes down. that should hold the boys over for a while.

have a great day. - JKE
