RAIN 3 1/2 inches in less than 2 hours. I'm in the middle of an island. The four 24" pipes I put in the creek are under about 5 ft of water. Ain't even sucking air any more. The creek is ~ 60 ft wide and 2 ft over the top of the drive. At least it's getting flushed out. We'll be ok, got food, beer, blueberry wine, and chewbacky.
Where has everyone been? The activity in here has been about as active as at the shop.

TRASHCAN ALERT
Everyone up and at 'em. I'm up, you need to be too. Now get your sorry behinds moving!!!!!
What a night. Thought I was going to have to get the boat out and start loading animals and beer. At least the driveway didn't wash out this time. Power is still out in some places, but doesn't seem to be anything major. Weather Dry Creek Farm is OK.

Happy Turkey-Day Eve.

Cold drizzle/fog this morning, with heavy wet stuff due just in time for evening rush hour.

Don't matter, 's hot, 'nuff fuel in the Beast to survive traffic, fast 'Net connection in the Eagle's Nest, Dunkin Donuts only a block away.
Life is good.

Y'all B safe on the roads this holiday.

Bruce ... I'm comandeering a helo loaded with snorkle gear and rum just in case things start to get really bad !!! Have the flashers on your truck going to give the pilot a target to do the VERTREP.

We got some of the liquid sunshine here last night too. You can always tell when it is starting to sprinkle around here ... the sirens begin to howl after the first drop. Wet roads + drunk tourists on mopeds = full emergency room.

Coffee is ready and got some fresh banana nut bread to scarf down ... life is goooood.

mornin' ...got 9 trout yesterday....SNAFU...slipped on a rock, fell in the river, floundered around like a carp, got out and made a cast and went to turn the handle and it wasn't there. Broke it off on the way down I guess .

Ya'll have a great weekend - JKE

I'm up too. Liquid stuff coming down here for the first time in a month. Wow, went out and couldn't remember what it was. Thank goodness for the sprinkler system.

Kids coming in tonight - - they heard mama was fixin supper. Always fun time around the house when that happens - - well, other type of fun as compared to when they are not around the house.

Have a great Tday. We have sooooo much to be thankful. God bless America.

Morning diesel smellers...
Good coffee, good pumpkin-spice donuts, locals making a couple big pinches this morning, jeeze we're getting into the news a lot lately. Waiting for the weather to hit. Suppose to get 3 inches of snow here, 6 a little to the south. You guys traveling today take it easy, it's my Friday so happy turkeyday.

SNOW!!!!
Started here about 2200 last night and this morning I got about 3-4 inches piled up in front of the barn doors......seems kinda early in the year for this. Its supposed to get into the upper 30's this afternoon and will melt all this nasty stuff, then tommorow is forecast in the 50's
least it means my morning chores are cut down, and the horses love it, my older brood mares are running around, buckin' and leaping like little kids having a snowball fight
it is kinda pretty though, guess I'll sit here, have a cup and watch out the window.....
Yall have a good one!
