The Water Cooler.....16 - 22 January 2005
Eyelid actuation relays failed open at 0237. If I'm up, there ain't no reason for anyone else to be wasting time sleeping.

Wonder how many naps I'll need to take today to make up for getting up early?

Hit the sack @ 2100 last night, woke @ my usual 0500.
Coffee's on, no sign of movement in the galley
Need two trash cans "air-mailed" to these Coordinates: Longitude=-77.1454 Latitude=38.8809 to get the troops on their feet.
Temp forecast for the 30 as a high today.
Gotta clean out the truck.
At least it ain't snowing.

Have I mentioned lately that I hate the cold?

20 degrees here at the Weather Dry Creek chapter of I Hate The Cold Dodge Diesel Owners.

23 degrees (supposed to be the high) here. Just saw on the always reliable weather channel that we might (and they get paid for might ) have 1-2 inches of the white stuff! Coffee's still hot, other half won't let me have the fat pills, say's I already look like the pillsbury doughboy. At least I got my truck!

dieseldude got my eyelids up, mechanicsville gun show????? in VA ???? or the one close to me in PA???? gotta nuke the next cup, pots down to last one and I need it. aint snowin yet but they say 1 to 3 tonight...... glad I parked all the salters in the shop.......

Breakfast is over, kitchen is closed..........
Still 'bout 1/2 a cup o coffee left............too late.
Wifey made Eggs, thick sliced bacon, toast, and grits.
Yuuuum-Yuuuum!
Coooold outside compared to last weeks highs in the 60s.
Daughter's B-friend called to say the heat ain't workin' next door...........
Looks like the gas is working, the fan is working but the igniter ain't ignitin'.
Lit it off with a butane lighter and the furnace took off on it's own.
When the temps come up to livable levels, I'll go back over and see if the igniter is getting voltage.
It's always somethin' ain't it?

Good morning all. Wanna feel better? -35C this Sunday morn, with -45 windchill. Exposed skin freezes in less than 1 minute.
Chuch service was cancelled for this morning. Got call yesterday. Temps were about the same, but windchill y'day was -53. Feel free to pick whichever temp scale makes you feel better.
Now for anyone else who wants to complain about 23*F temps, i hope you feel fortunate now.
I am thinking its about a 50/50 shot on starting truck this a.m., hasn't been plugged in since Thursday. Maybe I'll just let a sleeping Dodge lie.

Hey guys, I'm sure most know this, but watch out for the ones that aren't so wise. Had a double fatal yesterday, young couple died in there sleep form a space heater. Keep an eye on your friends and family that you suspect may use htese.
