I certainly hope not, days been ruff enuff all ready this morning. Two weeks without rain and the morons forget the meaning of hyrdro-plane. Their stupidity is reinforced by the morons way at the back of the pack, who figure out how to operate their cell phones and report the accidents without knowing where they are (even though they have commuted the route for untold years), and thinking none of the dozens of cars in front of them, or the people standing outside of the cars(with cell phones to their ears) might have already called. I guess it's better safe than sorry, just a little frustrating when the other dozen lines ringing might have the information I'm looking for AND be willing to check on the drivers condition instead of wasting space. Sorry, a little venting, and I may have to do it again one day. It's tuff when your FRIDAY falls on a MONDAY. (Breaks out the Sarcastic Hat, curls the bill. adjusts the back, LETS ROLL!)

Thank you for the vent,

Miss Isabel has got a bead on my home port here on the Chespeake Bay. I'm hoping she curves more to the north and out to sea but it doesn't look to promising. Any body know any incantations or anti-hurricane spells? If you do, cast them now!! PLEASE. How about sacrificing a virgin or maybe a liberal . Anyway, to all you folks on the east coast around the Carolinas and Va. be careful and stay safe in the days to come.

G'Day Mates.

Survived Monday,

Tuesday, hopefully will be better.

Isabel (also Wifey's name :) headin' this way.
Why do people always buy bread, milk & toilet paper whenever there's a storm comming?
And why bottled water?,........the faucet still works fine.

Have a great DTR day. 8)

Wild happening at work today. Got in at regular time and went down to the comm shop around 06 for a cup. Looked up on the hill and there was steam coming out of the new paint booth. Got up there, doors were locked , and you couldn't hardly touch the doors. Seems the paint booth dryer heaters kicked on "without electricity". It popped the sprinklers and when everything finally got shut down the temp was at 350 and steam was rolling out of there. 5 pallets of aircraft lacquer thinner, in 55 gal drums, was sitting in the middle of the floor. Pucker factor was at 13.7 on a 10 scale. Contractor and factory reps were all over the place. Nobody or anything was hurt. Sure could have been a "happening".

SR, been thru one hanger fire so understand all too well about the high pucker factor. Glad that things did not blow up in your face. Let's hope there is never a repeat.
Was you coffee cold by the time you got back?

Morning folks,

I hope SR has a better day than yesterday.
I wonder what it looks like when a a 55 gal drum of laquer thinner "cooks off".

Hatches have been battened, preparing for the latest "Storm of the Century". :
The media is milking this thing for all it's worth.
Must be a slow news week.

Expecting the storm to run through here approx. 0200 tomorrow morning, if the current forcast holds.

Y'all be careful out there.
