Morning all,

Wet day in Germany. Everyone was driving reasonable ... I was surprised. Saw a young lady piloting her scooter down the road in the pouring rain ... sure was glad that I had a car.

I guess I missed it ... what happened to Fiver's rig ??

In dire need of coffee this morning ... maybe just a touch too much wine last night . By the way ... Lambrusco red wine is AWESOME !!!

News this morning, at least 6 explosions rock London early AM today, some explosions were secondary to the first indicating targets were emergency response personnel. Buses, subways and public buildings. I wonder who will be claiming responsibility.

PW-
I had a frame failure at the kingpin. It is a factory recall. Too bad nobody told me - - I could have had it repaired last year when I was at the factory. The rig is ready to fall down onto the truck bed - - luckily I noticed a slight pitch in the kingpin and it caused me to dig a little deeper. The whole front cap has to come off, new stuctural members welded in, then put back together. It could have been a lot worse if I didn't catch it. The factory has been great. I guess a lot of manufacturers got caught doing this same thing. An ALFA was just moving out of the repair bay when I came in - - he had replaced a Newmar - - all with the same problem. And those are not cheap units. Oh well, I am seeing more of Anchorage than I really wanted to, but all things work together - - it will be OK.

Hope you are enjoying Germany - - I hear the square is really missing you.

Morning all,
Had ration of coffee, looks like it might be a nice, no rain day here in Germany.
Wife, grandaugher, and daughter hit the road at 0430 as grandaughter has her oral surgery today. Ystdy was pre op stuff. Higher secuity leval since the terrioist bombing in London. They had to come back to here last night.
That leaves me incharge of the 2 yr old grandson, get him to preschool, 11 yr old grandaughter, and the old dog.
FiverBob, good to learn you will be back on the road again soon. Hope the rest of your trip is fun and trouble free. Being in Anchorage is not that bad a place to be delayed. Lot to see there.
Got some of Prague trip pix in the gallery.
When I get home will put truck and 5th wheel pix in.
Have a great day.

Morning already ?? Hmmmm.

FB ... that sounds like you were EXTREMELY fortunate to find that problem before the worst came. You sound in good spirits, considering.

...and with the hurricane evacuation in the Keys, I don't miss the square in the least !!!

Well, time to go for a run in the woods with "the boys". I use it as a foraging trip ... wild strawberries and black cherry trees all over the place.

Take it easy ... and if it's easy, take it twice,

Busy, busy, busy. Got the lumber milled up yesterday. No fish biting last night. Picked up another 220 blocks, should make for a nice well house and a couple other projects. Grubs are starting to get at the logs I have left, so I have to get the bark stripped off. Take it easy...

Oh, yeah... lambrousco... mmmmm, bluebarrise should be comeing on over there too when on those fun-runs.

Workday started with a 0400 wakeup and no coffee. (Guess who forgot it on the way home last night). Shift ends at 1800, home to change, then rake and bale the alfalfa before the rain finally starts, then do the cattle thing for the broken leg neighbor, then take care of my horses, then.....

Start all over at 0400 in the morning.

I need a vacation. Somebody kidnap me.
