Yea, and from the looks of it, it looked like the road had a slight slope to it.
That person in the SUV wasen't to bright. Did you hear them punch the gas pedal after they bounced off the pole? lol Im sure that helped quite a bit.

Thankfully it looked as if no one was seriously hurt!
I did notice that only one driver had the good sense to use the gas pedal and try to steer out of the situation. Too little too late. The rest of the drivers were hard on the brakes not even trying to change the course of the slide.
This also serves as a reminder to those of us who may try to be a good samaritan and stop to help. Always park your vehicle safely away from the carnage and walk back to help out! One accident in those conditions invariably leads to another.

One reason we left Seattle
King 5 TV is a local Seattle station, so that was in that area, and there are not many level roads, mostly un and down hills. Been is some of those condions. Not the crash bang of that one tho. Not fun.

i dont feel sorry for them...when you know the roads are bad with snow covering very slick ice under neath, you shouldnt be out there. in that kind of weather i dont see why there should be 20 plus vehicles just in that small area of 3 streets that are traveling. plus it was like "ok the first 3 cars in front of me didn't make it, but my minivan is FWD not RWD so it should handle better down this ice covered hill...oooohhhppps whooooaaaa, no brakes no brakes!!!!"
A Hearse came speeding out of control down the ultra icy steep 8 th street hill here in NewWestminster, B.C. It crashed through a drug store plate glass window. I guess the impact was so great that the lid flipped right off the coffin in the back and the stiff sat straight up. The cashier was so alarmed she just stared at the stiff in disbelief and said, Is there something I can do for you Sir. The stiff replied, "Yes, could you give me something to stop this coffin " ?
