Uncle got a Hemi Ram...

He just got her yesterday, he has a 94' Cummins Dump for business...It's a 04' 2500 4X4 Quad cab, Auto....it supposedly has a 5 speed auto?!? Sounds nice and throaty and a total gas pig!!!
I was really shocked though, took it for a spin and as much as i advised against it, he made me punch it (400 miles on her) it ran good but i thought it would have a bit more of the line...we are gonna run when he gets about 1,500 miles on her. On the highway though if you punch it at 65, it REALLY takes off, much more precise steering too...just thought i would share my findings.

I drove one last week while my truck was at the dealership. It probably had 3:55 gears in it and although it was a little quicker off the line, I wasn't real impressed. My average fuel economy over 3 days was 12.7.

I'll keep mine.....

My little sister has an '03 Hemi 2500 4x4. She likes it, but never stops complaining about the mileage. She averages 11. I'll keep mine too.

My wife's Durango is averaging 12.7 now with 1500 miles on it. We traded in the Honda on it.

Now it's MUCH more economical to drive the big diesel with 37" tires

I test drove a hemi in the exact configuration that my CTD is in, except the hemi had the 5 spd auto. I drove it about a block, turned it around, and aid " I don't want that" Where's the CTD Im gonna test drive?"... Guess which one I brought home?
