TV terrorists.

How is it that everytime I watch the nightly news I see live footage of the enemy shooting RPGs and the likes at us? If the news media can find them and film them in action ,then why cant we to take them out at the same time? Just an observation

I'll tell u why-

Let me tell you why-

We are trying to hand over control to the new Iraqi government. therefore- we have to get authorization to fire on alot of the combatants. It's a double edged sword- unfortunately, we can't take care of business as we see fit....

on edit..........

Remember- you are seeing what the media wants you to see-
There is WAY, WAY, more going on over there than you can even comprehend without seeing it first hand.

Hmmmm, what other war does that description remind me of...... You know, the kind of war where we wont let our boys take the gloves off.....The kind of war where you have to call and get permission to fire?......... hmmmmmm

There are a few reports and documentaries out there that paint a very different picture of present day Iraq. One that I've heard of states that a lot of the Iraqis actually approve of the US occupation. And a lot of them are very peaceful. Only about 5% of the people are the anti-US combatants. Yet the media makes it out to seem like half the country hates the US and wants us all dead! The media is just a big real world/real time soap opera that, unfortunately, some of the gullible Americans take for fact, which influences our public policies. I'm not saying you're gullible or you think everything they say is real...just making a point.

I'm just wondering how long it's gonna be after we take all our troops out of Iraq for the insurgents to overthrow the present gov't. That whole thing could turn into another Israel/Palistine conflict!

Most shots look like they were staged.
We always see them shooting, but never see them hitting anything.
I believe if the news crews would stop filming them, 1/2 of them would probably get bored and go home.
Everyone wants their "15 seconds of fame".

Those guys will walk around with an RPG when they see camera crews, but they scurry like roaches when they see US Troops around...

Maybe our troops need to cram a SAW into a hollowed out TV camera?

Mark Thomas:

Shame on you. " indigenous personneledit " is not a politically correct term. Besides that they are not rags that they`re wearing. They are, in reality, small sheets. In the future please mind your manners and refer to them properly as " little indigenous personneledit ".
