That's MY gripe; we ALL complain about things, but hardly any of us are willing to take decisive action to turn anything around! I agree with you, and for my part, I no longer fly. But one person taking this action is going to make NO difference what-so-ever.
Maybe we should all start going to airports with our bathing suits on.

Only one way to solve the issue.. ...... Dont fly..

Sad is it may seem, the extremist are looking for any way they can to bring death to us "infidels". If they can get away with using a 6 year old to bring down a plane, they will do it.. Though using a 6 year white girl is highly unlikely..

That is the path I chose.
I enjoyed travel, I enjoyed flying to get to other destinations.......... I refuse to put up with the TSA's "Illusions Of Security".
If I can't drive there,.... I don't go.

Yes, simply don't fly! I fly all the time for work but it is not in a commercial capacity (small engine and choppers) - my family and I refuse to fly to travel, we drive everywhere. The TSA is just a charade anyway as if terrorists want to cause harm they will do so if TSA is on the job or not..... I am planning a trip to Alaska next year and will drive the whole way - this is my way of protesting.... The terrorists have eroded our freedoms enough, letting TSA grope up your Grandma is proving their actions are working and I refuse to let them win....

I remember getting called to 67 for a mechanical problem, the captain was absolutely furious so much so the F/O had stepped out of the flight deck. She told me that security had taken her eyebrow tweezers not only is she in command of the aircraft, she is one of the "drivers" and sits right in front of a fire axe. The Flight attendants used to call to get one of us to come and open bottles of wine for them as they weren't allowed to carry a corkscrew. One day -40C Delta couldn't get an engine started on a 320, It gave us plenty of problems and I was on and off the aircraft many times. Each time I had to be scanned by security. I'm carrying tools, flashlight, box cutter, 2 cell phones and a 2 way radio along with a stainless steel pen. (plastic ones melt in hydraulic fluid. After awhile the frustration set in, not only have I frozen my hands, face and any other exposed skin I can't get this bus to start. I threw my hands in the air and told security I'm not going on the aircraft anymore, tell the crew to come onto the bridge and bring the book. One very important thing to consider here, I was the guy that signed the book to say the aircraft had been searched inside and the outside and cargo bays searched by me. It goes on and on...Now you see why I retired there is no common sense used.

"its really simple follow the rules you don't get hassled"

Not so true. My dad had to fly not too long ago. He has a artificial knee and brought paperwork from a doctor as well as a small copy of an xray of it. Then made sure he told them about it. None of it was good enough. They made him step into a glass booth and drop his drawers.

I would turn around and go home. I don't need to fly anywhere that bad.
