Truck Weighs 8360#!

Wow, I went to the dump last week and my truck, with my regular load of carpentry tools weighed 8360 pounds Thats with a full tank and my 240# and my 45# bird dog. 4 1/4 tons! That seems like a lot. Do any of you know what your average vehicle weight is? I knew these trucks were heavy but that seems like a little extreme. I am still getting 15 mpg around town so I guess I should be happy and I know it's not near overweight. Still, that seems like a lot of weight for a 'light' truck!

Yeah, I figure my canopy weighs about 200 # or better and my tools add a lot of weight.
