Troy Built Mower problem

Firt of all, this is not my mower. I rent and it's the roomates mower. IMO, this mower is a piece if @#$%. It's a Troy built pony. It wont start. Put a new battery and ignition switch and still wont turn over. Found a blown fuse and replaced it also. Still no start. Is there a solenoid on these? What about the starter maybe? Any help on where to look would be great.

Thanks!

They normally have a solenoid on em, ours does. Trace the + wire off the battery and that will lead ya to the solenoid. Take a peice of battery cable or screwdriver or something and jumper the solenoid. If it cranks, the solenoid is bad.
