Toolbox question for me the DE-DA-DEE

Ok so my wife got tired of me running around the house to the garage and back looking for tools, so she gave me the ok to get a real toolbox for the garage. Now its not the big ***** $5k ones some of you real mechs have but its my first real box. My question is what do you boys line the bottom of the drawers with?

who cares throw in your tools?
that thin eggshell stuff for cushion?

Any other suggestions and where to buy the stuff would be great. TIA, Ryan.

Ryan, I used to work at a place where the Snap-on truck would come by once or twice a week. I bought a slightly used rolling chest similar to this one http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....re&dir=catalog
I bought it for around $500 and I have been happy. It is expensive, but built very well, and if you need to upgrade it for a larger one, they will give you a trade in deal on the old one.
Another option is craftsman, which I have also. Not near the same quality, but the prices are reasonable.
Maybe this helps, maybe not but my $.02

I think some thin rubber mats would be enough. Ive seen this kind of stuff in plenty of toolboxes http://www.pickupspecialties.com/too..._liner_mat.htm

Ryan, I got mine at Sears while I was buying my boxes there. Lowes has it with their toolboxes in the tool section though.
It's much nicer having the tools on the mat because they don't slide around the drawer each time you open and close it. I'm not too **** about my toolbox but I do like to keep my sockets and wrenches in order so I don't have to fumble around searching each time I need a tool....

If you go with that stuff shown above. Get a can of 3M spray adhesive and glue the liner in the drawer.

I use vinyl runner - the floor stuff:

if you can get the rubber stuff its better.

You can also use black indoor outdoor carpeting.

Here are pictures installed and my box, which is currently on sale at Sears if you are a Craftsman Club member for $700 iirc, regurally a $1500 box.
