My wife had her's done about 4 years ago, when the science was still fairly new. No big deal, they'll just peel back part of your eyeball, shoot a laser in there and glue it back together. All while your eye is held open and you are wide awake.

The process is really cool, my wife was good to go a few hours after walking out of the office, eye drops for a few weeks afterwards and thats it!

I saw ol' Popeye at the state fair here about 20 years ago. He'd be up on the stage talkin' about his trick with his eyes normal then turn away for a second then turn around real quick with them eyes 'bout jumped outta his head for a shock. All the wimen squealed an ran...kinda shook me too but I held my cool and bought another beer...the old one was getting kinda flat anyway.
