tire situation
tire situation
I need front tires. I want to go to from my 215's to 235's. I can only afford the 2 righ now, so can I run 235's on my 2 wheel drive truck till I can afford the rest?
It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Re:tire situation
I am sure everybody on this forum knows this so forgive me if I am preaching to the choir. NEVER run different tire sizes on the same axle. I have seen this more than once, but of course never on a Dodge.

Those are usually on the same axle, as far as I know.

Why?

It'll screw up the way the ABS works to have different sizes. It has to make certain assumptions and/or calculations based on speed-sensor readings, etc.
Dont do it if you have full ABS>>>>>>>>>>>> ;>>>>>>>>
Otherwise no problemo.

Re:tire situation
The abs will detect different rotation counts for the front vs rear. It has a built in % it can deviate from but if this is over or under the abs computer will more than likely shut down the system and activate the abs lite. Worst case is poor braking.
