Yeah... I don't think we're going to have much, if any, NHL this year....

Yeah... I see why they cry about making millions each year... and ohhh wait.. heaven forbid they may have to use a little of that to get their own healthcare or whatever.... they all just have it so rough don't they?!

Isn't that what killed baseball?

Pretty much. Millionaires fighting against billionaires over "labor relations" just doesn't tug at the ol' heartstrings that much.

Hoss - soccer not tuff enough for you? Those folks are talented and in excellent physical condition. Try sprinting a full length field twice and see how you feel .

Good picture Shovelhead.

Clemson Tigers here boys....we might be in trouble this year. I like Miami Hurricanes too...2nd on my list. - JKE

Re: Time to declare your loyalties!

I think we have a decent chance of upsetting Iowa and a few teams in the PAC.

You got no chance against Iowa. They will do the same thing they do to other flashy go fast teams (with the exception of USC ) and beat 'em into submission. Check out the game against Florida in the Outback Bowl last year. Go Hawks!

Ah, James...

We shall see! A few years back, Nebraska pounded ASU 77-28 in Lincoln. On their return trip to Tempe, 25K+ Husker fans packed into Sun Devil Stadium, riding a 23 game winning streak, only to see the "flashy" Sun Devils punch them right in the mouth. We scored 3 safeties on them that night and won 19-0.

I was in Iowa City for last year's game. We were not as prepared as we should have been for a tough defensive battle. We have specifically worked on becoming a much tougher team this year. i went to the ASU scrimmage this weekend and those guys are playing hard, smack-mouth football. Additionally, we have found our second receiver that we were missing last year AND our offensive line is much more experienced.

Iowa is a better coached team than ASU, but our guys are out for blood. I don't see you winning on 9/18.

IA James, care to put your...."Wash mit" where your "Hawks" are.

Your Hawks win I owe you a truck wash and vice versa. I don't want to turn this site into a gambling hall but holding that truck wash over your head next time your in AZ would sure be worth it....

All said in good fun...
