Time to declare your loyalties!

This is NOT a political thread, it is about something infinitely more important!

FOOTBALL!

The season is rapidly approaching and we need to determine who the good guys and bad guys are around here.

I, myself, am the world's biggest college football nut. Love the college game but I am loyal to the Arizona State Sun Devils. I am not predicting great things for my team this year but I hope they are a little better than last. I think we have a decent chance of upsetting Iowa and a few teams in the PAC.

So, let us know, who will you be rooting for in a couple of weeks, either College or NFL. Batt, you can chime in with your Aussie rules team if you want, and AlpineRam, throw in a soccer team, (or ENFL team.)

I am coming out to Baton Rouge next year for our little contest (ASU vs. LSU - 9/10/05). Should be a fun time. Hopefully the Devils get a lot better between now and then.

Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys are the 2 teams that I will be rooting for. The Hogs have lost most of their starters from last year and the Cowboys have lost their quarterback so I may not enjoy too many wins this year. However Dallas may get better without Quincy. The Hogs may just finish in the cellar of the SEC but the great thing about college football is that you never can tell what will happen.

Thumbs up

College football rocks!! You can keep your NFL stuff and we won't even mention soccer (is that actually a sport).

My favorite time of the year is rapidly approaching...and I wait with eager anticipation for the first Fightin' Texas Aggie football game (Sept. 2nd against Utah on ESPN at 6:30 Central time for anyone interested).

It just doesn't get any better than Aggie Football....

"Now forming at the north end of Kyle Field, the nationally famous Fightin' Texas Aggie Band!!"

I'm pumped!!!

TONY! You don't like football??? When was your last physical?

MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS!!!! Okay, I know that we have had checkered (to be read "awful") history since 1966, with the exception of the 1988 Rose Bowl. But it's my alma mater, and I have a close relationship to the football team as I was in the Marching Band as an undergrad. There's nothing like college football. After I retire, I would like to get season tickets.

Tony, I hope College or Junior hockey is good enough for you, because I don't think the NHL is going to play anytime soon.

My Dad went to MSU in the 50's and is always telling me about the good ole days. Back when State would kick UofM's butt most of the time, and the Lions were one of the big dogs of the NFL.

While I like watching College ball, I can't say that I have a favorite team... with my schedule, I can't seem to keep up with it very well, so I just catch a game here and there whenever I can.

As for the NFL, I'm a Steelers fan all the way and have been since day one. I find it ironic that there's actually a bar in Cave Creek, AZ that is dedicated to Steelers fans. Typically, at the games here, there are more fans of the opposing teams than there are for the local Cardinals . Sadly, this is especially true when the Cowboys are in town
