Three bad ricers!!
I know these are gassers, but these two cars I can't help but love! The Toyota Supra and the Nissan Skyline. I think they say the two Supras are stock engines, the Skyline has had engine work but the bore/stroke are stock. It's amazingly fast. I fell in love with the Skyline when I was in Japan and after I raced one on my sport bike........and got beat!!! I knew how to ride and there was no touching that car!!

That was a pretty impressive video. That thing must fly at 9,000 rpm redline. How can something really be "too fast". That's like saying a Jeep has too much travel or a Cummins has too much torque. LOL.
This has me thinking...
That car has the JDM version of the 3.5 (350 Z, Altima, Pathy). they boosted it by around 50 ponies thru tuning.
My 06 X has a 4.0L that is a big brother of the 3.5L. In theory, you could squeeze another 60 HP out of my X. But that would put me upto about 320+ HP on a 6 cylinder engine.
I think its time to do some research....

I have seen that video and know doubt the skyline is king, they are wicked fast, I saw one and my loacal drag spot and it was haulin. I have always wanted to get one but they are just a tad out of my prive range. Surely my favorite tuner car
Great video. that needle moved soo fast on the skyline.
the skyline and supra are my all time favorite to drive everyday cars. both capable of 1k hp.
they have a company motorex(not sure of name) that has been importing skylines for a few years now.

There was a Japanese guy in Japan that would come out to where we would do....uhhhh, some not so legal drag racing. It was cars, bikes. He would ignore anyone who asked him to race in a car. He always walked over to where the bikes were parked and come over and ask us in perfect english if we wanted to race. We would look around for his bike and ask what we were racing and he would simply reply, "a car". Well, no problem.
There was usually a guy who would stand between the racers and drop his arms to go. I scooted back on the seat, leaned forward, rev'd the bike up. He rev'd the car, it was a sleek black Skyline with dark windows, nothing fancy. The little dude dropped his arms and I launched. All I saw were the 4 round taillights going past and shrinking quickly. I think I tached it up in first gear and shut the bike down and pulled off the track and went to hide. No chirp or spinning of the tires, just gone like a bullet. This was back in 1991, and he went on to tie with a 750 GSX-R. A friend of mine rode with the guy, who worked for Nissan by the way. My friend said he was not easy to scare, he raced sport bikes back here in the states and he said that thing was pushing 250-300 kph by the end of the "track" and at the end was a hard 90 degree turn and about a 15 foot tall seawall. He said his butt was pinching the seat, hands gripping whatever he could find, the driver was as calm as could be.
Never got a ride like I wanted. I heard from the same friend that not long after racing the 750 GSX-R that he blew the engine and spent some unbelievable amount of money on a new one with more power, then went back to the same "track" and blew away a Kawasaki Ninja, what was it 1100 or 1200? One of those. I did not see it but had many guys on the base that I hung out with talking about it at the shop on Monday morning.
There are several more on that video site, found one that said, "Skyline -vs- Hyabusa" and watched it. The Skyline blew through the finish and when the Hyabusa came through he was on the brakes slowing cause he knew he had no chance. Looked like someplace over in the middle east, completely AWESOME!!! Yeah, Skyline and Supra.....I don't think a Corvette has anything on those two cars.

i really like the one with the skyline jumping off the dyno
.
I thought the skylines were running tuned versions of our 3.5L.
Oh well, yet another engine from nissan that the rest of the world gets but the US misses out on.
I still want a Nivara with a ZD30. 147 HP and 231 lb-ft of torque on a turbo charged 3.0L I4. In a compact truck platform.

J/k, that is pretty sweet, I would love to drive a car that is 'too fast.'
