I would very carefully check the fuel consumption on propane. On Generac's website a 10 k home standby home unit takes almost 2 gallon an hour & I think there is 5 gallons in a 20#, 7 gallons in a 30# & 10 gallons in a 40# tank!! I'm not sure about a portable unit & I would sure ckeck before buying one!

Unless you have a 500 gallon tank for propane. I think that the small bottles would make it pretty pricey.

Less maintenance IMO. Just park it till you need it, and keep the dirt daubers out of it.
A Dayton (Genrac) version. It's been a good investment (25kw continuous, 50kw surge).
