A Thought For Today

There are two theories to arguing with a woman. Neither works.

Boy don't I know THAT'S the truth!

I had a person register here and sometime later I get an email saying (something going on here?)

Not having a clue what that meant I replied "Well yeah I guess there is always something going on around here but not knowing how that pertains to your question, how about being a little more specific so I can try to help you out"

The reply I got back was from the guys wife, she wrote the original email and called me every name in the book because I didn't know what she meant

I told her that I get literally hundreds of emails from people that can't log on, can't finish the registration process, can't post a classified ad, can't figure out how to post.......the list goes on and on..... and she replies this time even nastier than the first

How in Gods name was ANYONE supposed to know what the problem was by "is something going on here?" geesh I STILL don't know what they needed help on

Been with the same woman for over 25 years, and I still don't know what she wants, needs or has on her mind.

I don't ever intend on finding out, either..... because the moment I do, I'll still be wrong.

Or at least that's ALWAYS the way it works out for me with my lovely 105 year old wife.

About once every two years I goof up bad enough to get "Do You Have a PROBLEM?"
I usually dont have a clue as to what I have done but after 35 years,
I have learned that the only proper response is to admit I have numerous
problems and to thank her for helping me deal with them.

She knows I am full of poop but will let me slide anyway.

Like that dude that tripped and fell in his basement, accidently flipped over an old lamp and out comes the genie, " g´day sir, you got one wish, what would you like?? "
The dude thinks real hard, then goes " I´d never been to Hawaii, I´m really scared of flying, and I get seasick just looking at a glass of water, only way is in my Dodge, could I have a highway to Hawaii?? "
The genie thinks that´s maybe pushing it a little, "could it possibly be some thing else? " he asks.
"Yeah" dude says, " I want to know what women thinks, that´s what I really want".
The genie just looks at the floor, shakes his head, then look the dude right in the eyes, " how many lanes you think you´ll need on that highway ??"

I like that one. I'll try that when she sees the receipts for the new fuel system on the truck. If I can make her laugh it usually works out OK for me. I'm only 7 years in, and appreciate the tips from the pros.

Edit: I got a text from her less than ten seconds after posting that ^^. Scary.

My husband says he doesn't understand me. I have no idea why not.

Women always know. And if they don't they'll eventually find out and you'll be in double trouble.

My favorite book

Title - Everything men know about women
Length - 500 pages

Every single page is blank.

That about sums it up for me. Just ask my wife.

It's been 37 yrs for me & it only took the 1st twenty to figure out if I want to buy something for myself, truck, motorcycle etc. Number one thing to do is buy her something of equal or more value 1st. It avoids most arguments.

This sorta pertains to the not understanding women thing we got going on here, so I will tell it. Many years ago my Bro in law and I ran a car on the Drag strip one of the other racers that used to pit next to us had a sister in law that had just dumped her boyfriend and he came along with them that day half drunk and "Whining" about his GF dumping him.....

I listened to it for about 2 hours as he went from person to person trying to find sympathy as he got drunker by the minute....finally he slid over to where I was working under the hood and started in on me...why did she leave me? what did I do wrong? How do I get her back?..blah blah blah"

I finally stopped working, stood up wiping the oil off my hands and said in a loud voice "Hey! What the hell you asking me for? I been married 7 times and buried the last 4 out behind the barn!"

He just backed up and gave me the look (while all the racers in earshot busted a gut) and then avoided me the rest of the evening

My point here being that the LAST place a guy needs to go to get advice on Women is from another guy

The one TRUE understanding that I have about Women is that we are not intended to understand them and never will....But that's as it should be... ALL we have to do is respect them and treat them right and everything works out just fine

I've never really understood the fact that some men who are married want another one on the side. One is plenty enough headache for me. Couldn't imagine trying to keep up with two and keeping them from finding out about each other. That's just asking for an early grave. If the wifey dont get ya, the stress would.
