Pffft, how many hours of pratice did they have?

I wish I could find the vid of the 15yr old kid that out drive CA finest, seen it last year,he stole a BMW and they only reason they caught him is the car broke down, the one cop crashed his Camero trying to out drive him.

It was about the best driving I had ever seen.

On Craigslist next week:

2001 Chevy Camaro~Police Interceptor

Lightly driven. Used only for recruitment purposes only. Tires slightly worn. Great car! Call for pricing.

pfft nothing. Let me give you some facts on the case you mentioned.

1. The chase was in Kansas, not California.
2. It was a deputy sheriff chasing him
3. The deputy kept up with him and got side by side with him to signal to him. the 15 yr old tried to ram him. He did NOT wreck because the kid out drove him. He wrecked because in order for him to get away from the car trying to ram him, he had to take immediate evasive maneuvers.
4. The car broke down about 15 minutes later. The kid is lucky he didn't kill someone. That wasn't good driving, that was stupid driving and he was lucky. That chase happened in 1998. It was a camaro chasing him, and they had reached speeds up to 150 mph on the highway.

that was cool, but i think the shorter vid was better though. the shorter vid actually had in car shots.

that and 6 minutes of drifting is a bit much.

Pretty easy to talk smack from behind a keyboard .... but I think these folks do a fine job of pushing the car to the limit. Not many people can control a 360* spin at 60+ mph.

There is no way I would've been willing to do 150 mph at 15 years old. Heck, it gave me a serious pucker doing it at 40 years old .

Give me about 20K and I'll build you a 1998-on Camaro that NO punk is going to outrun. LS engines respond very well to twin turbos

I could!!! Right up till the point where that culvert jumped out in front of me.....

150 in the right car doesn't seem that fast. Once you get up above 130
everything seems pretty close. I have done 186 in my vette before and it literally feels like your floating (maybe I was, can't be sure). Yet another reason why the LS engines are great.

There sure are some folks talking smack on here. I'd love to see you out on the track for real. I'm sure the story would change then. You'd be acting cool in front of your buddies all the way until the point where you ran the car into the ditch.
