Good, because since we're not TDS, it doesn't matter anyways.

Indeed they are. Many moons ago I spent a lot of time a The Diesel Stop (then Ford-Diesel.com). It started getting pretty rough over there and it just wasn't any fun to hang out any more. Generally....it's a bunch of people that love their Ford trucks and don't want any outsiders criticizing them. I used to have a lot of fun in the "Other" forum over there....aka "The Bilge"....but as things started going downhill most of the good ole' folks that made the site great started leaving to go elsewhere. After that I figured I might as well pack up my bags too....

Aren't y'all lucky I found this great website.

The only reason I go to the TDS is to do research for my Dad when it comes to the 7.3 PS.

Okay, and to feel good about not buying a Ford.

I once had difficulty reaching a clients site. It was down for almost 24 hours. I did a traceroute and so I knew exactly where the packets were stopping. Calls to tech support were pointless because the tech just tried the URL and said "I have no problem reaching it so therefore it works."

Eventually whatever problem the route had between here and there was fixed but it was frustrating to talk to the idiot at tech support who had no idea how a network works.

BTW, I was on DTR last night and at exactly 1:00 am my time the site went down. I figured a backup was running of somebody took it down for mainttenance so I just went to bed.

The Bilge still exists, Hoss, but it's not at TDS any more...I used to spend a lot time in the "Other" forum, too...Most folks from there found a new congregation ...Ben

I too

left TDS.. people just dont care much about other brands... They dont take anyone seriously and usually are pretty harsh to critisize anyone and or anything that they dont like.. then you voice your true opinion and have posts erased AS I DID ALL THE DANG TIME!!! I have some friends there, and i love to browse the photos and the other forum, and i still have a soft spot for the old idi, YET i dont answer any diesel posts no more... then again im losing all motivation to answer any posts at all even though i have some great friends on there too..

Yeah....I remember when a whole group of folks left and went over to The Cracker Barrel. Heck, I think I have a valid user name there. I only went over there a few times though.

I can get into the diesel stop now. Which is a good thing since my sisters powerstroke just took a dump.

12am MST the server resets every day. It normally only last 2-3 minutes, but I hear it's a nessacery evil.
