Re:Thanks Mods! - for the "union" lock

I get busy a few days in a row and l don't get to keep up with my "soap channel" and look what happens - stuff gets locked, feathers ruffled, etc. :

Glad I ain't an admin - kevlar underwear is probably expensive - or maybe Top and Joel just don't care to wear any at all (I know, bad visual - but you will think about it for a while, anyway )

Hey, it's fun to live life on the edge. However, unlike Hoss, I am not right all the time ;D Once I thought I made a mistake but I was wrong. If I join the conspiracy do I get an extra star?

Re:Thanks Mods! - for the "union" lock

I find it odd that all through the Unions thread, not one person really touched on WHY the union was started, and what the original purpose was. I have to agree with those that believe the post was stopped too soon. I didn't feel (in my infinite wisdon / NOT) that anybody was heating up.
The bottom line is this, and I deal with it every day. I put myself through school, to obtain a degree so I could become something more than a workerbee. Not that there is anything wrong with a workerbee, but I wanted more. So, if people like to complain or whatever about their personal situation, be it union or otherwise, then they and only they have the opportunity to change it. Those of you who think Unions are absolutely necessary, do the research and figure out why they were began in the first place. Then correlate that to todays scenario and marketplace. There are only two things / entities that have stood the test of time, with one being the Bible and the other being our constitution. Both are still as relevant today as they were the day they were written. All a Union does in a manufacturing environment is place deliniation between the workforce and those who direct or run the workforce (JMO). I could care less if Unions are around or not. The world has a strange way of taking care of itself! Hope I didn't offend anyone. LE
