Holy Crap! And yes, that is the first time I have ever used that word in that context on this forum.
I say again--Holy Crap!
When on deployment about the only thing that keeps you going and keeps you sane is knowing that someday you will get to return to the states and your family.
That you will get to spend 6 months or a year until your next assignment and that your family wont have to worry about where their next dime is coming from.
To have that taken away from you especially on a tour---those guys are better men than I am.
Its only love of country and pride that probably keeps those guys from saying "well, guess I wont ever need my M-4 and all this other stuff again, might as well sell it".
Unbelievable.

 

Folks will be worrying more about how they are going to support their families and look for work than they will about dodging bullets and IED's.

What about the ones who love what they do ?? There goes all motivation ....might as well sit in the tent and get in trouble, getting fired anyway.

I'm glad I was able to retire when I did.

I live near two Navy bases, they bused in a few hundred illegals this week on to the base. Then in the same week they handed out the pink slips to the Navy Captains. Obama has his priorities backwards in my opinion. IRS and the EPA all got multi-million dollar raises this year. Obama on his second multi-million dollar vacation to Hawaii this month. Something really wrong in Washington. I think we all know what that is. Social Security’s trust fund is expected to exhaust its reserves in 2033, yet Obama wants 3.7 billion dollars for illegals to get them settled in a city near you. We all know what the problem is in Washington. It's up to each one of us to fix that problem come November this year!

 

So what, pray tell, makes you think you can rely on your pension?
