Cool Texas and Dodge Trucks!

Just got to get back to my roots and go home to Texas from Spokane for the first time in 2 years

Man, I forgot how many Cummins rule the road down there especially in my old stompin grounds outside Fort Worth like rural Wise and Parker counties. I was great to see family and friends and show my girlfriend where I was born and raised. The only downfall was that I had to leave my Dodge at the airport in Spokane and toot around in my mom's little Monte Carlo

My girlfriend (now Fiancee' ........yes I could not think of a better place to present 2 months salary) just loved the country, the horses and livestock and yes, all the CTDs!

Oh what a good feeling it was to get back into my rig, crank the heater 2x (as it was 19 degrees when we got back.....70 in Texas while we were there) and hear that thing spring to life!

As she is from Seattle I truly believe she is convinced now that real cowboys come from Texas and drive Dodge trucks (CTDs) !!!!!

God did bless Texas with His own hands right!!!!!!

Adios mi amigos!!!!!!!

yup, we love our trucks down here... only place I've seen more CTD's is Oklahoma... they're EVERYWHERE up there...

in TX, there's lots of guys in Flowerchokes too... there's a lot of them in Oklahoma, but seems like everyone who's "working" their truck has a CTD. At one point on the way home from Muskogee, I saw twelve 2nd gen CTD's within 2 miles on the highway... some pulling cars, some flatbeds, some pulling livestock, etc.

love these trucks, love this state!

Yikes!

I just escaped DFW... spent 2 years there and couldn't wait to get out!

Didn't notice an overabundance of CTDs there, though, just about normal. And Fords. But not too many Chevys.

My wife's from Seattle, too and was depressed the entire time we were there.

To each their own, huh? We're in Newport, RI now and ecstatic.

anything suburban is sucky....

I left for 6 months in 2003 to keep from getting laid off, and I couldnt wait to get home. I was in KY so it wasnt too bad. HIGHLIGHT of my trip: I met a fellow DTR member (Bulthisl), and he fixed my 5th gear for me. (had to drive 2hrs in the snow, in 4th gear to get to his house though )

New Mexico?......get a rope......... remember the old pace picante commerical?

Not native Texans, are you? If you're not born here, Texas can be an acquired taste.

You've been watching too much of "The Cowboy Way". Besides, if you think the Cowgirls are real cowboys....or that they can even play football for that matter....you've got another thing coming.

Born and raised Texan....no desires to go anywhere else.

No kidding. I live in the "burbs" now and I hate it. I'm kind of hoping to move back down around College Station in the near future.
