Tell Us What Your Vanity Plate Says
Tell Us What Your Vanity Plate Says
My lovely wife ordered me vanity plates for the Ram and I just wanted to get some feedback from fellow Rammers before I decide to switch plates. Will they draw too much attention??
What do you think? Would you run these plates or should they go back?
Also, do you have a vanity plate you would like to share?

Well, aside from the obvious innuendo and implications thereof, I'd be hesitant to drive down "south". Chuckle away but I have met in the past, the so called good ol' boy who would might use that particular phrase as a cause celebre to attract unwanted attention to yourself. "Yankee". Yes, I know, such attitudes don't exist, you hear that all the time. But, outside your region of residence, words may perhaps take on different connotations and interpretations. As mobile a society as we like to be, regional attitudes have a way of....., well, your gut reaction of submitting the request to this group for comment is perhaps the best observation.

I'd run it for a while, until something else came to mind.
Now it would be more intersting if it said "YANK ME", but I guess you'd have to be driving a Chevy to run that one. ;D

You can scope out more here, but it isn't exactly geared towards Dodge diesel trucks.
http://www-chaos.umd.edu/misc/plates.html

Chris

I didn't purchase a true vanity plate, but the one on the front of my Ram (and every truck I've had since '88) is my AFI plate from Naples (AFI N 48361). The AFI stands for Allied Forces Italy.

About 6 years ago, I found an '85 Ford 1/2 ton Super Cab. I put that plate on the front of it and went to work at the Air Base in Albuquerque (Kirtland AFB) but I didn't have the base stickers on it yet. The young Airman at the gate saw the plate and motioned for me to come on the base. I stopped, showed him my ID card and said, "That's not an official plate on the front." He asked, "Doesn't it stand for Air Force Inspector?" I laughed and drove on past.

DW
