Hello guys i have a 96 2500 with the 360 and need to install a tach and i was wondering if there was a plug under the dash that all i had to do was just plug the tach in and mount it?

 

I had a 96 360 as well and I had an aftermarket tach. I tried to find a wire under the dash from the pcm but couldn't get a signal. The wire is Grey/light blue stripe and is in the harness under the hood but I could not trace it into the dash. I did not find out about the Grey/blue wire till I already spliced the coil wire. So you could tee into that one and see if you get a signal on the tach

For me I just ran a wire to the Black/grey signal wire going to the coil. The Green/Tan is the ASD circuit wire from all the injectors and the coil, +12V running, so its NOT the one to tap.
