Switching from Propane to Natural Gas????
Where I am, I could go either way, piped in natural or LP tank.(I am way out in the sticks, but there is a big county gas main adjacent to my property)
After some research, those that got suckered in on the natural gas are paying way more than I am.
Of the numerous advantages of propane, I like the independence of having over a dozen suppliers to choose from; it keeps them honest.
Not so with the county-owned natural gas, provided and billed by the local crook-house, with no competitors.
Also, if I have money, I can fill the tank and have heat; if I am broke, I can tough it out and I won't be charged for the inconvenience.
I always fill and pay in mid-summer; then, when all the other end-of-year/first-of-year bills start pouring in, I don't have to worry about a gas bill.

For anyone interested, I decided to stay with propane. Gas company wasn't completely honest when giving figures on the conversion. They said $40/appliance to change. That only included the orfice resizing and not the regulators or repiping those regulators. Total to swap would have been close to $500.
