Survivorman

Anyone watch this show on discovery? I just started watching it recently; and man, this guy is VERY informative. Good stuff to know when the poo hits the fan in oh, about 20 years, and we have to fend for ourselves!

Yea he does a good job with that show, I always like to watch that, to bad they don't have any new ones. I can't believe they replaced it with that "Man vs Wild" show, it's horrible.

Would be a lot better if they chopped out the 15 minutes where he Edit about having to carry all the camera gear.

We have watched it so much I can go to my kids and say, "If you sweat....."
and they'll say, "you die!!!" Yeah, maybe it's time to cut back on Les. Good info though. I like the one with the stick, about 3' tall and then you can always tell which way is north by the way the shadow moves...too cool.

He does an OK job. I think he puts too much effort in showing the hard way to do things and not enough effort in having a proper B.O.B.

I think he does a great job. He definitly puts himself at risk and about the camera gear - what a hassle snowshoeing into the distance and then having to go back for it. All in all an impressive show under conditions that I would not want to endure. The only one that I saw him quit on was the raft deal on the ocean. All the more reason why I'm gonna stay on land!

His new shows are coming up in april. It is ( and has been ) an hour long show on the Science Channel. The Discovery Channel version is just edited for 1/2 hour.
His new shows are going to be in Australia, Africa and also the coast of Alaska. He also has a show coming ou about living off the grid.

I think his shows are very cool. He never ever claims to be some military survival specialist. but he sure takes alot of heat from people who think they are survival specialists.

The shows I've seen on Discovery are 1 hour long as well... I think they're great shows.... it's real, reality tv. I can only imagine how grueling it must be to film yourself... ya know, having to set up those shots and then retrieve your gear... crazy.

I think it's great that he's coming out with new shows...

Are the new shows gonna be on the science channel or Discovery? For some reason we don't get the science channel on Dish network.

Me too. I think bear is twice as tough. If I had to be stuck with one it would be Bear.
