Surviving the Central TX Weather???

How's everyone surviving the Weather???
Cody.. NeedMoPower was over this AM.. and they lost some windows in the house.. and still don't have any power... he was driving his dad's duramax.. the hood and roof were beat up.. and grill and emblems need to be replaced... His 1st gen lost the grill, head lights, turning lights, hood.. and possibly damaged the condenser, and maybe the intercooler... Luckfully his 3rd gen was in his shop at work.. and didn't get any damage.. yet.. (as we are having another front coming in..) We just had some wind.. and a few inches of rain.. nothing really here...
How's everyone one else doing...

Last weekend, Pettit lost 4 Bay Doors and the Transfer shed was relocated about 100 Ft......

The Tatoo-poo (haha) place next door lost its roof..........a mile down the road, Gainesville metal.....no longer there, as well as the Case house (I could say something here....but i wont..... )

AND the Gainesville airport............well if you were watching CNN and the others....you saw the Air Planes stacked on top of each other.......The others above were about 1/2 mile south of the airport....

Our house got some Base Ball size hail......but i got TONS of trees that were nice to me.....my Neighbors lost windows, skylights, and their vechs look like a golf ball.......

I was talking to Kerri last night when they got slamed again...but as far as i know.....it wasnt as bad as last weekend.........this weather is crazy this year!!! Dang warm winters......

Just got back from Stephenville, Huckabay got three inches of rain last night, there is a frontage road under water somewhere between Abeline and
Sweetwater. All I saw was water no other damage, but heard of tornados around Noodle, and a few other places.

Heck...from my experience.....any rain and every street in Abliene goes under water!

I did hear that Baird did get GRAPEFRUIT size hail........30 to the east of Abliene.....next to Clyde......thats like VW's comming from the sky!!!

We've been having pretty sever estorms here in the Austin area averaging twice a week or so for the past several weeks. Hail has come to be expected now when the weather man says it is going to rain. Lots of damage in Austin and surrounding areas this week from high winds. There are folks who have been without power since Wednesday or Thursday.

I've been lucky so far. I've managed to always be in the right place at the right time and miss the largest part of the hail. Quarter size is about the biggest I've had to deal with so far (which isn't really big enough to cause damage).

A couple of weeks ago there was hail between Georgetown and Jarrell that was nearly 4 inches in diameter.

Where you at? Here in Abilene not too bad, but some friends in Eula had ALOT of hail, and blew off some tin on their barn. Sure was busy friday night.

I'll one up that! Our lawn hasn't been touched since way back in september of 2005... walked past the lawnmower the other day , noticed that all 4 tires had gone flat over the winter, i'll make a mental note to pump them up sometime.

We got fined by the home owners association. My roommate has a bike in the back yard but we don't don't know where it is. The dog won't even go in our back yard.

I'm just north side of waco.. but cody was in Gatesville.. and we had a F2 tornado in Waco.. they lost some buildings..
Cody had damage to the hood of his first gen too.. (which probably means both front fenders... )
The D-max looked like someone shot it from about 50ft with a shot gun...

From the wife.. I think its time to go to the hospital.. I guess its time for the little girl to arrive....

dan u from gainesville? or abouts there?

yeah it was pretty nuts over that way. live over in montague county and we didnt get anything like that, just hella rain; but i do drive there every day to attend NCTC. LOTS of messed up stuff as you said. there was quite a bit that got wrecked, but mostly it was buildings that were made of couregated steel. most other wooden structures (such as houses) werent really affected. i know the motel 6 got its roof nearly torn off and the new one got set back a lil ways for damage. 35 was a mess due to tractor trailers being blown over..lots of damage to the median fence north of 82. and im sure insurance has been busy with the hail damage claims...i nkow more than a few people that had their cars totalled out. that and the local GM dealer lost a few vehicles due to falling debris and light poles..not to mention their fancy little tarps they used to have.

there is quite a bit being accomplished tho..lots of reconstruction going on so im sure everything will be back to normal soon.
