Surefire / Lithium 123 Battery stuff
Ok. I have a BOKER flashlight which is just a sister design of a basic Surefire Xenon lamp. Surefire case, surefire bulbs, Surefire accessory compatible, half the Surefire price
Ive had it for about a year now and its been great. Other than my good OLD Maglite, its my best flashlight. However, I am getting tired of spending $6-$10 a pair for 123A lithium batteries. Even $20 for 12 is getting old.
I have looked into rechargeable 123As but I can find very little if any products or reviews for them. Id hate to spend the money on the charger kit and on the rechargeable batteries and have them be weak or even faster draining than regular 123As.
So I am wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with 123A rechargers and what your positive or negative feedback on them is.
Any tips would be great.
Thanks

the price on the surefire B65 and B90 rechargable isn't much.
I haven't used rechargable batteries except on my laptop since the old Ni-Cad days when they would last about 1/2 the time of a regular set of batteries.
I have a hard time giving up my mag lights for one of these new fagled ultra bright lights. I carry a 4-D cell mag and a 2-AA Mag

Well Ive used rechargable AAs for my Kodak digital camera and they hold a charge at leasts 5xs longer than regular AAs. I swear by them but Lithiums seem to be a whole 'nother ball park. Of course I could be wrong, which is why Im seeking help from the plethora of good people here on DTR =D
Go to lighthound.com or batteryjunction.com or batterystation.com for rechargeable 123's and a charger. I have used them for about 3 years.
Be sure to get the 3 volt ones and not the 3.7 volt ones, unless your flashlight is rated for the 3.7 volt rechargeables.
The "Protected" ones are best as the battery can't over discharge in use and damage itself.
Go to candlepowerforums.com for lots of great info.
