Springfield XD (M)'s, anyone get one yet?

This is the latest pistol from Springfield. They call it the "M Factor".

Has alot of new good features.

Im considering selling my XD 5" 45 and getting one, or possibly just buying a new XD M in a smaller caliber as an extra.

Anyone get one of these or play with one? The XD's are great but these are supposed to be even more comfortable and accurate.

So far all they have is a .40 cal. I have no reason, nor a desire for a .40 caliber weapon.

I took a look at one but couldnt justify the 100 dollar price difference as compared to the original XD. I will stay with my XD45 Tactical and Canyon Creek hammer and sear.

I agree, too new to justify getting. I have a XD40 and absolutely love it. Mainly i play around with it and target practice.

$100 gets alot... (gee, im gonna sound like a salesman!)

shorter trigger engage and reset
new slide grooves for ingreased grip, slide is now angled cut to increase grip
do not need to pull the trigger to release slide for stripping
interchangable grips to fit the hand
16+1 of .40 cal.
new competition barrel right out of the box.
mag release is a little easier (larger opening around it)
new sights

Yeah, I watched every video on it thats why i know !

The good thing is Springfield is known for their durability and strong parts. The bad part is if you ever do need parts, most of them have to come direct from springfield them selves.

i thought M was for military, that the military REQUIRES a safety on their contract guns, and this was a gun with a manual safety to meet those specs?

Boy are you ever wrong. I've had both and prefer the XD. Define clunky. My XD shoots smooth, straight, and solid. I know nothing of this clunkiness you talk of. About them being too tall, you must be too short!
