Spotlight replacement bulbs
Hi.
I have a pillar-mounted spotlight on my 1st gen and recently my spotlights bulb has gotten a crack in the glass and of course water has gotten in and Id like to replace it.
My question is, Do I replace it with a universal automotive headlight? Thats all I can seem to find that will fit.
I dont think its a head light because this spotlight is a solid beam, not spread out.
All I know about this spotlight is that it was made by GE.
Any tips as to where I might find a replacement?

Is it a Unity spotlight?
Most of the truck parts will carry the lamp for the head; you can get varying wattages from I think 20 watts on up.
I replaced the sealed beam lamp with a head made by Collins Dynamics and it takes a 100-watt H-1 halogen lamp.
It is BRIGHT and is brighter than the ones in police cars; they are the ones that they mount on fire trucks.
You can use an Aircraft Landing Lamp but they have a very short life (usually rated less than like 25 hours) and have a fragile filament, there are some 12-volt units but most are 28-volts.
Your switch when new is only rated for about 10 amps.

You didn't mention if is a par 36, (4 1/2" round) or par 46, (5 1/2" round). Yes, you can go with an aircraft landing lamp, or the correct replacement lamp is
par 36 is 7604, or par 46 is7635. Any type of part stores should have them, or you can go to Galls, AW Direct, or search the internet for the best price.
Good luck.
