Special Gift from Afghanistan

A very good friend of mine whom is Proudly Serving in the United States Marine Corps just returned from a tour of duty in the "Stan" and he brought me back a Special Present

Many Thanks for the Great Present Mark it might have brought a little tear to an Old Grizzled Soldiers eye, but I will deny it if you tell anyone

I will display it proudly in my home

Now that is cool, touching and just plain old 'very nice'.

Glad to hear he is back.

It's the least I could do to show my gratitude to someone who preserved America's freedom long before I was around... It is my honor to do something like that for you!

I got you the big one so you could fly it at Camp Ellis if you wanted to... That rope makes it a PITA to fold, so if you just want to display it, get rid of that rope.

Mark, you and I have never met, I am from a different country and I only really got active in the breakroom since you left but THANKS for protecting both of our country's freedom. So happy for you Angie and your kids that you are home safe and sound.

Is it disrespectful for a person who has never served to say 'Semper Fi'??

Thanks, Tallguy.

Not disrespectful, just something between members of the armed forces that we understand because we live it... Thanks for your comments.

I'm glad to be back, Keith. Thanks.

This just adds to my opinion that Mark is what we all think of when we think of what a "Marine" is... honor, respect and a "do for others" attitude...

Glad your home safe Gunney and way too cool a gift..
