Speaker install

I am trying to install a set of 6x9 speakers in the rear deck of a 2001 olds alero and I am not having any luck. Anyone have any Idea how to get the old speakers out and the new ones in?

Stick of dynomite or a cutting torch.................

Ok on a serious note......what's the reason they won't come out? Do they have some sort of cover on them?? I've never seen inside one of those cars so I'm not much help here. Usually if they are in the rear deck, they should come out inside the trunk.........atleast that's how every car I have done has been.

This is where I usually take it to Best Buy and tell them to knock themselves out...

The covers *should* just pry right off. Might want to peek inside the trunk again and see if you see any plastic locking tabs holding it down.

You might try www.the12volt.com and see if they have any instructions on it.
