Some Pics

I've put some pics up at http://bisanz.have2.com/views/

It's some place I had some work at, and the view from my office window this evening.

Mainly it's me boasting about my new digital cam...

It's a Nikon D80 with an AFS Nikkor 18-200 mm 1:3.5-5.6 G-ED VR lens.
I'm amazedwith the VR lens, it really helps- 200mm freehand with 1/20th second exposure.

Oh very nice, I might have to take a peek at that one. There are so many different cameras out there it's tough to pick one.

I think it's very important that the cam fits into my hand. The other part is IMO that you must not skimp on the lens side. In my analog time it was normal that the lens was more expensive than the cam. It'S still a fact that the best sensor can only grab what it gets and with a cheap lens you might just get a blurry picture at 10 MP.
The windmill is about 7.5 kms away from my position while taking the pic. 1/800 exposure and 5.6 isn't too bad for this pic.

At that size resolution, it must be a 8 MP + camera?

Marcus, once again I see how beautiful Austria is.

Some day, maybe I'll get the chance to see it myself.

Need any more PB?

Thanks for the compliments!

Ed, my wife told me she would really love to get some Peter Pan standard and Honey Crunch again

Would you like some Ritter Sport?

Alpine,

Great pictures. Was impressed with the quality. As was the wife, she is also interested in your camera. She won't find it in her stocking this Christmas.

We did not get to Austria when we were on the military base in Germany. Very confining.

Take care, and thanks for sharing the pictures.

Well, if anybody from the DTR family has the opportunity to come ovr here I'd enjoy meeting him/her/them.
I hope that I'll be able to take some more pics and put them online. Today I've been working in a new tunnel- but had just the small cam with me, and the pics turned out rather
