I remember as a kid my older sister did a painting of what she figured Picasso's "The Old Guitarist" would look like if it was done in Cubism style. It was weird to say the least to this country boy's eye.

The memory is that when she displayed it on the dining room wall, my dad stood in front of it with a reflective look on his face for some time, till my sister pressed him for a comment.

He said, "I understand that to truly appreciate a work of art, you have to put yourself in the mind set of the artist. Praise God I'm not that confused."

 

Well, that would be based on perspective... and what you consider fine art to be.


IMO, the most beautiful thing in the world is the voice of a sexy woman saying "hello" to me, at any place, or time in my life. The entrancing seductive voice of a gorgeous piece of "fine art", is pretty much the only thing that gets my heart bouncing all over the place....




well, that, and a 1968 hemi cuda ....
