Mom and Dad spent a ton of money on custom doors and their contractor hung them on crap jambs. Make sure the stops are dadoed and not applied on doors that heavy.

Yea these folks have been in business 97 yrs.
The stops are rabbit jointed into the jamb.

WOW! 8 grand for a door!

I can't even believe someone could get 2 grand for a door, but I'm not a builder so I have nothing to base my opinion on other than the fact that I know I'D never spend more than a few hundred for a door. For 2 grand I could fashion a door out of 2" solid steel and make it LOOK like wood!

Yea I know!!!
I don't have the time to try to build my own, nor do I have the imagination and artistic ideas to make one look good so I'm kind of at a loss on this one.
So far I've found no one that makes these arched doors in anything but wood. All of them are expensive and none that I have found will warranty a wood door except for this one company.
Well one company has a 2 yr limited warranty against warping, cracking and fading.
There is a company that makes a fiberglass door that is stain-able and looks like wood but they're all straight doors. We had our hopes for an arched doorway. Didn't realize that we would be so limited in choices and pricing.
