Re: So you like Dodge trucks, how bout the cars?

This is the first MOPAR I have owned. Dad always liked his trucks, brother still drives one of his old ones. I don't think I'd own a car unless they build the Razor as they intend to at the sticker of $14500 (like they intend to).

Shovelhead,<br><br>The only words I could say when I saw your pictures were: That's outstanding.<br><br>We also own a '99 Stratus ES (V6 model). It's been an outstanding car. It was a &quot;Dollar&quot; rental car when we bought it with 25k miles on the clock. It now has 95k and has been in the shop for a trans seal leak and a/c blower motor switch repair. THAT'S IT. As far as those who prefer a &quot;Japanese&quot; car - this Stratus has the Mitsubishi V6 under the hood. When you push on the go-pedal, hang on (for a V6).<br><br>DW

My grandpa had a 92 car with a v6. I don't know what model it was but it has 200k on it and has been better than the 85 dodge that he traded in of it. I have a 78 dodge truck and a 66 d300 that was unstoppable, just ask the tree it took out when the brakes failed with a load of Beans on it going 60mph :'( That little slant 6 was the best gas engine ever made. I remember my dad holding the gass pedal to the floor for what seemed like hrs to climb our road. Never had a bit of trouble. It needs a new clutch and some body work but other than that it is in grate shape.<br>DM01

The first brand new car I ever bought was a '91 Daytona V6. Car had electrical problems from day one, but ran really nice. Guy in a Taurus wasn't paying attention and killed that car by rearending it at a stoplight going 65 mph - just folded the back end of the car under itself. That car probably saved my life, but anybody in the back seat would've had their legs cut off at the knees. [undecided]

I'm not a big fan or cars in general, but I do own two Camaros and the little lady has a 'vette on the way. I guess you could say we're Chevy people (for cars at least). But a Viper sure would look purty sittin in my garage....

got bitten by the Mopar bug as a kid 36 years ago. My folks bought a '67 Dart GT, turbine bronze, black vinyl top, black bucket seats with console and a slant six :'(<br>It was a great car and good thing it had a slant six, because after it became mine I would have killt myself if it had more power! Sorry I ever sold it.<br>Besides my '93 CTD I/we own a '98 Caravan AWD and a '76 Scout (only because Dodge scrapped it's plans for a similar vehicle- Ramcharger is a fullsize truck)<br>I've owned '69, '76, and '78 Powerwagons.<br>Have wanted a Challenger since the fall of '69!<br><br>Chris

My 94 Intrepid ES was probably the greatest car I've owned for all around use. Sold it because wife wanted a Caravan. :'( 3 months later she wanted the car back. :-X 'Nuff said. As for owning mopar cars look at the bottom. :

97 Intrepid with 167,000 miles on it. Sold it when the tranny started acting up. No repairs other than brakes (1 set) and 1 battery. Dodge Omni Sport with turbo - - better be pointing it away from the curb when you hit second or you were in the ditch. Fast, no problems in spite of two teenagers ragging it to death. Sold it with 120,000 on it and still running strong. Love the looks and drive of the Concorde and LHS - - hold the road very good and the 3.5 is very strong - - a little noisy but nice cars.
