Well the truck got plenty of goodies this Christmas . BHAF, 3 Gauges & Pillar pod, and an unexpected surprise, a new stereo... thingy.

Its an Alpine iDA-X001. It is designed to work with an iPod as far as I can tell, but it can also play music of a USB drive, etc.

It has add-on modules for HD radio, XM radio, and bluetooth.

My question is is would this thing be worth keeping to put in my dually or should I return it and get a simpler (or different sized) model? Will it even fit??

Thanks for any opinions on it, hopefully someone else has one.

 

I guess it would depend mostly on your general preference.
This model is made for hard-core IPOD users.

Yes it will fit, you would have to go to Walmart and look for an adapter plate, or some other electronics store.

Personally I think I'm going w/ a 7" flip-out touch-screen DVD/MP3, all the goodies player.
And most of the players come w/ an I-pod ready dock.
