Snow in Clebrune tx

It’s snowing here for the second time in less than 7 days. This isn’t right I hate cold.
So Al, how’s that global warming thing working out for you.

Of course I realize we can’t win if it is cold the nuts will say thank God you listened, if its hot they will scream that we did not listen.

Global warming doesn't mean the whole planet warms...and it is warming here... wether people have any major impact or not isn't my point here but you got to admit the last hundred years we've created a major trash pile...you need to realize 1 degree will change the jet stream...look at how it changes weather acording to how it flows...2 degrees will be enough change to where it will swing permatly east of alaska dropping into canada and mid west.....good luck down there

Many will argue that having 7+" of snow in texas is part of the global warming process.

I'm really concerned that all of the wind farms being put up are going to change the weather patterns

you know the wind has to slow down pushing through all of those turbine blades

do any of us really think we're going to be around when the glaciers melt

let's turn Calif. into a desert for a 2" fish and let the Calif. farmers in the food lines get carrots grown in China

it's all happening now, right before our eyes

if we outsource our food supply like we've done our energy independence we are done!!!

We're 'done' anyway, so it really doesn't matter at this point. No one can seem to grasp the idea of 'all things in moderation', so there are radicals on both sides an no one in the middle.

chaikwa, I agree 100%, such extremes as we're seeing, now we're on the hook for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac with no $$$$ limit, next step towards government housing for all

We have gotten snow twice here in El Paso this year. We usually get one snow fall every other year or so.

I guess I really just don't get what the big deal is for whether the temps rise or fall a degree or the winds change direction or whether it snows in Key West or not ... Mother Nature is gonna do whatever the heck she wants to do, when she wants to do it .... and the bottom line is WE WILL ADAPT TO THE CHANGE !!

Ooooh ... the weather is gonna be hotter and with the melting ice sheets, there will be more water / humidity ... what're we gonna do when everything turns to jungle and swamp ??
Have you ever been in a jungle ?? I have been in a few and believe me, stuff grows like crazy there !! We ain't gonna starve ... there's tons of bananas and coconuts in the jungle and lots of critters that eat those things for the carnivores in the bunch (like me) !! A little humor there, but the point remains valid ...

Much adoo about nuthin in my opinion ... but then again, I will only be around for another 30-40 years tops so what do I care, right ??

Cheers,
PISTOL

I agree that we as humans should leave as small a foot print on this earth as possible and I believe that moderation is the key. I recycle the aluminum from my beer and use feed sacks for putting trash in (in place of plastic) I even drive a small car back and forth to work (better mileage the truck).
Don’t thank me it’s just my small part to save the world (Yea right more like save me money).
The thing that burns me up is that the same ones that were screaming that we where going into the next ice age back in 1978 -1980 are now the ones that are screaming about global warming. But conveniently they forget about what they said before. I remember it very clearly because I was on the back of a flat bed truck with a shovel putting sand on the roads of Farmers Branch, TX. Thinking I had a job for life. Silly me.

UP HERE its been one of the coldest Decembers on record. But...just a few hundred miles to the west and its much warmer then usual. Then I look at the temps up in Alaska and they are much warmer then us. It almost appears like theres a narrow band of cold right down the middle of Canada that stretches down to the gulf. My brother lives in Houston and claims its the coolest he has seen in the 19 yrs he has been there for this time of year. I believe that everything has a cycle. Only problem is...the cycle is effected by what we do to this planet. I just started doing some things here to save some money which also helps out on the recycling. I throw all our garbage over into the neighbors yard without any plastic bags. J/K We got new neighbors and they seem to be the most miserable folks around. After I saw him pouring motor oil and paint out into the back lane. I stopped making an effort to be a good neighbor. The folks on the other side of him went crazy when they saw him doing this. I let them handle it. There is a big difference to me at least when it comes to this kind of blatant ignorance and some of the extremes that are happening. The pendulum never seems to settle in the middle much anymore...always swinging too far to either end.
