slightly bowed hood

Hey guys,

The wind was blowing really hard here the other day, and i was charging the batteries on my truck. I didnt latch the hood down and the wind blew it up, locking the hinges in place. Could not get it to close. In doing so I managed to bow the hood right above the hinges. I had to take off the hinges to get it to close. When the hood is down there is a arch in the crease between the fender and the hood more so on the pass side. My question is, is it possible to have it straightened? I knwo it is hard to tell without seeing. But I relly want to keep the original hood as it and the truck are in great shape. I actually threw up when i got the hood closed and saw the gap. any input would be great. I am in Albuquerque so if anyone knows a good shop to suggest.
Thank you

Hey twodiesels, I live here in ABQ also, and I just had work done to my trailer by West Mesa Auto Craft in Rio Rancho-they did an excellent job, were very personable, and were quick about getting me back on the road-they also service all of the Sandoval County Sheriff's vehicles too-by the looks of it they could keep themselves busy just off that account!

Thanks for the offer srtchris. But it is my Ford that this happened to. Unless you happen to have one of those laying around. This truck is almost show quality and I am afraid if I get a new one painted the paint will not match. I got a quote for $350 new hood with paint. But there has got to be a way to straighten it. Its not bent taht bad, but really bugs me.
Bigblktrk I will check them out. If you wanna talk trucks some time give me a shout.

Heck yeah twodiesels-I'm always up to talk about trucks, bikes, boats, just about anything with a motor used for propulsion-got a question for ya, since I just took a good look at your sig-where did you find a place that was willing to line-x your ranchhand? Everywhere I have checked they either give me a crazy look or a quote that would just about allow me to buy my own spraying equipment.

Had it done in Indiana. I just moved back here from there. Try thr line-x on Menaul across from four wheel parts. I have talked to him because I had my rockers sprayed and it is already coming off after only two months. He did not do it. I had it done in Indy as well. They do not warranty anythig but a bedliner. Yhey may tell you they do but it is far from the truth.
