As I was driving home yesterday I found myself heading into some nice storm clouds here in Southern California, thinking wow this looks neat.



Then seconds later.. the entire sky light up into the brightest orange I have ever seen.



Like staring into a blinding fireball of a nuclear explosion.



This must be what it looks like when one of my experiments goes wrong.



This was so bright it was hard to drive into even while wearing dark sunglasses.



As a photographer I enjoy taking pictures like this.

Just thought I would share these pictures with you, so what do you think?

Umm..... how safe is it to drive and take pictures at the same time?

 

It means you better not drive the Angeles Crest to Palmdale when it's raining.

 

Let's really think about this for a minute... it's California. On a road. In a car. What do you think the probability is that he's actually DRIVING as opposed to sitting in traffic waiting for it to GO somewhere?

 

Heck it's really safe you should see me eat breakfast and drive.

Nice pics, my sis lives in Sandy Eggo on the ridge above Qualcom, she must have had a gorgeous view of the storms yesterday...I'm jealous.

I have several cameras, Canon and Nikon Film cameras and a Canon 40-D DSLR with assorted lenses, also a small point & shoot MP Canon D940IS I have with me at all times.

The small cameras that I carry only last about 1 year before they are worn out.
