Back at it today. No state holiday this weekend... traffic was nice comeing in though. Had to drive down yesterday for a first aid refresher on my day off! Salvaged the day and hit a local river with a buddy off another forum. Lost 2 steelhead myself. Buddy landed one and lost two. A few possibles mixed in as well. The new waders are awsome. Should've upgraded a long time ago.

The way I heard it ... is that Top's family put together quite the birthday cake for him ... 3 different flavors of ice cream in there, by God !!! Of course it melted all over the kitchen when they hit it with the flame thrower in order to light all those candles at the same time .

Chris ... I ain't trying to make anybody look bad .... I just got some serious "suckin' up" to do !!

Totallyrad .... if'n ya want to haul them rocks to my house in Missouri I'd take em off yer hands. I got a few building projects that require lotsarocks !!!

Flashdancer ... "master baiter" ... BADDABING ...and she slips another one under the radar !!

Those waders would come in quite handy around here sometimes

Hey Pw, you been over towards Berchtesgaden yet? I was browseing some websights the other day and it looks like they RAZED all the buildings we took as war trophies and restored to better than new. I knew we shouldn't have given them back!

Not yet ... but it is definately on my list of places to see during this trip. We are gonna be heading to the Eagles Nest (Hitlers personal resort) and the Salt Mines while we are down there. I will get some pics on here as soon as I can.

Try to hit the Eagles nest on a holiday, they might have the musicians (yodellers) going. Also, you HAVE to take the boatride on lake Konigsee. Salt mine was fun too. Wish I had more time for hiking the area when I was there.

Heck ... if you want to come over, I have lots of empty rooms and would'nt have a problem puttin ya up for a vacation !! Hop a MAC flight and stay for free ... can't beat a deal like that !!

Hmmmmm, you might be on to something there.... Just put for a september vacation slot.

If you went up top with no tourists and hiked up the goat trail, you might see some wildlife. We saw mountain goats on the stretch they used to haul up the stonework.

Ahhhhhh!! silence at last.

Coffee's ready, dog's been out, paper's in, computer is powered up and logged on....my work here is done.

Drizzle this morning with warmer temps.
We need enough to knock the pollen count down a coupla hundred thousand.
Wet stuff not 'sposed to last long.
Lots on the Honey-Do list.
Hopefully, none of it will get accomplished.

Y'all B safe,

Whew, sure glad you beat certain other people to the wakeup call and made the coffee, SH. Nice and quiet, good coffee (no brush bristles in it and nothing floating around on it), good company - - nice.

Lazy Saturday - - going to a concert this afternoon. Our 13 year old grandaughter is in the symphany all ready. She is good on her flute - - practises a couple hours per day - - is in accellerated classes with a 4.1 average (how do you do that????) - - quite a young lady. And she is all ready 5'10", same as her mom and 2" shy of her dad. I still have 6" on her but she is chasing me.

Off and at'em - - be good. Catch some fish for us, Redleg.

Bob

My daughter had a sleep over last night for her birthday. Nothing like having a bunch of 13 year old girls running around.
Still looking for my earplugs...

Mornin, mornin, mornin. Well, no rain here, just more rocks. PW (glad that's your initials) I don't think it would work for me to bring the rocks to you. It sounds like you live in to many places. I don't think I could catch up with you. My daughter is stationed in Germany currently and she has been touring all the castles she can. She said they are awsome! I hope you two enjoy your trip. As far as yesterday, the radar must have been down for repairs. There's no way that much "stuff" just slipped under it. Shovelhead, this is for you.

Ed, I gotta be honest with ya buddy ... when I saw ya makin multiple passes over Chris' bos'n pipe with your truck this morning, I ran right over there to rat you out.
But when I got there he was still sound asleep ... eyes were still open but fixed (spoooooky ). Now ... you would think that he would be a heavy snorer (Coasties have that reputation, that's why us REAL sailors don't let them come out to sea past their knees ) but NO .... there wasn't a snore to be heard ... instead, he was piping the tune to call all hands to morning chow out of his left nostril . 5 minutes long this tune was I tell ya ... Craziest durn thing I ever saw.

Needless to say ... we are still not gonna get any peace ...er, I mean YOU still ain't gonna get any peace.

Any-who ... nice quiet duty day ... just the way I like em. Don't even have to give the guy a chow relief. 15 hours of uninterrupted DTR time .
