The size of the crowd depends a lot on the location. Here in the DFW metroplex soccer is pretty popular.

And no free beer. It was $7.50! It was a perfect day too. Didn't even need a koozie to keep it cold.

Oh the crowd size, had about 20k show up. The largest crowd for the WNT since '99! We kicked butt

Mornin' all!

Fired up the smoker this morning. Got some pork shoulders going today. gonna be tasty when they are done! 7* out so this should be a good test on cool weather smoking. Haven't ever tried it below about 50* before.

Looks like someone scarfed up all the strawberries and cream Scotty left out as bait so I should survive with my intestines in there normal position.

Now I know why the bears are waking up around here. Warm weather and the smell of pork in the air.

Condolences to you Mark, as well as the rest of your squadron.

I had one last night about 2AM. It was 'Pharooq Acquad', (or something that sounded like that), wanting to increase my credit limit on my Capitol One Card. He was informed I don't HAVE a Capitol One card, nor will I EVER have one, then he received the police whistle as hard as I could blow it. I heard a grunt or a groan before before he hung up. Pffft! "Capitol One. What's in YOUR wallet?" In my case it's MONEY!

Afternoon all.

Aww, come on TRad. Live a little and tempt fate. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? Earth ceases to be a planet? Besides, it would be Scotty's fault.

How do you figure??? If you cut a piece of steel a tad too short, you can always weld up the end, grind it down and you're back where you need to be. Let's see you do that with wood!
What do you think wood glue and wood putty is for? Glue it back together and try again.

Afternoon all. Finally up to 40* this afternoon. Have a relaxing afternoon.

Eversince that day in ´86, a crappy back pass in Denmark is just known as a "Jesper Olsen", at 4:00 min. I still feel sad when I watch it.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! WHOO!!

Thanks, buddy.

I'll be honest, and I know this seems cruel, but I don't have very much pity or sympathy. I feel bad that a Marine died, but it makes me angry when we lose one to alcohol related crap, drinking and driving. We have so many safeties in place so that Marines don't have to drink and drive, so much training and such, then some moron goes and gets in a car with someone that is just as drunk as they are... in my book, you basically just committed suicide on your own.

It's a touchy subject, we can talk about it, but I feel pretty strongly about it. Enter at your own risk.

Anyhow... my buddy that came over last night came back over today, we went for a ride, he likes my truck

I went out and bought the OL a movie that just came out today and got her some of her favorite chineese food for a snack, just trying to be loving

Gonna clean up, fart around.

I'm sure that your wife will appreciate you cleaning up but I doubt that she'll appreciate the farting around.

I assume, from your comments, that the marine was the one under the influence? Too often, someone else under the influence will take out an innocent party instead of themselves. Sorry for your loss.

I agree with that line of thinking but figured I'd be the only one.

Evening yo.

Slev, a 'Jasper Olsen' eh? I'll have to remember that.

Mad, we're with you there. There are a lot of methods in place to get home safe if an AD member is out drinking. And they're all pretty minimum effort and fore thought. Having used most the methods in place after being out celebrating, it's really a no brainer and doesn't hamper the party one bit.
